Priceless I tell you, but for some profound reason I think he made them from personal experience ;)

Jon,

I just got done reading all 13 pages of this thread and I find your points to be nothing really more than hearsay. You claim your bringing matter to light and allowing people to speak their minds but none of that is going on. It seems your angry banter is rule here and you provide no evidence of your claims. Not to mention you do so in a manner that is nowhere near professional, and does that really matter? Well it may matter to those that read your content and dismiss it as juvenile.

Not to mention so what if he "copied" your ideas. I can't find a business in the online/offline world where this doesn't happen. Your either quick enough to capitilize on it or your too slow and get chewed up and spit out. Look at the 500words.com page, why not condemn Joel too? Not to mention if you wanted to do something with these great "ideas" then why would you tell anyone in the first place?

Quite frankly in 13 pages you haven't said anything. Why don't you ante up?

As Jason Fong said, "Sometimes your closest friend is your greatest enemy." :1orglaugh:

You're such a hypocrit... You stay on whichever forum and suck up to people there, come here, act like you're not two faced, and then go elsewhere and just bash the shit out of this place thinking no one will see? Are you going to be at ASW? If so, I would like to meet you.

This thread kicks ass. If people don't want to go all over and jump on a bandwagon per say, then support whoever has made you laugh. Jon's long, blunt posts are hilarious and have really set my day up for a lot of web-work.

now lets see some more replys here :)

Are you going to bring your brass knuckles and hip hop boom box to ASW? :banana_sml:

Meh...I took it as if he would have given credit where it's due everything would be fine regardless if those ideas in question were his or not.

There's nothing wrong by taking ideas that were inspired by someone else and capitalizing on them (with in legal reason) but when you claim they are your own with no outside influence you are bound to step on some toes.

I would be pissed off too if I shared some ideas with someone and they turn around to say it was all their own brilliant plan. Ideas I share are for the purpose of helping others so I don't care if you take them and run with it but you can at least give me credit when it's due.

And why should I "get it too"?

I merely asked Jon to substantiate his claims. And I admire his consideration.

I'm actually waiting on the other guys' answers on whether or not I can mention here about what Lee did, don't want to bring other people's gripes here without their permission.

oh...no... i have no opinion on the situation.... i just sounds better.... and since he was letting everyone else have it.... might was well keep the tone of the thread up....

This is my point Jon, why would YOU have to wait on another guy's answer? That response sums up my whole post. YOU brought upon accusations with meritless claims.

I could care less what another person says, it's nothing but hearsay also.

You can talk and talk and talk but in the end who are you convincing, those that will take you at your word?

Why don't we rise up to another level here Jon?

It's more like the following scenario:

You confide in a friend who also happens to be within the same business industry as you are, and you trust that whatever you tell them, they won't go do it themself, instead, they'll give you their feedback on it, and wish you well with your ideas/plans of success. It can even go so far by telling them what you are doing and how you are going to do it, and still, all you want is feedback and constructive criticism at most. That's what friends do. They don't say "oh I don't know", jot down everything you just said, and then go behind your back and do it, and then you find out that your friend just became a competitor. What do you do when that happens? Just let it go? No, you confront them about it. But what if they pretend they don't know what you are talking about, and then you hear about them doing the saaaame thing to other guys? What then? That's why I made the thread here, publicly too. Because he did wrong, and I just want him to acknowledge it, fess up, and apologize, and also know that from now on, people will know beforehand before they come to him with any idea for advice, feedback or criticsm. Is that too hard to understand?
