I got this private message sent to me, and he said I can copy and paste it, so here it is, totally from him, not me:

Maybe I can.. but so can you.. Even if I didn't own WF, and if it had all of the same rules and shit, I would still post here and nowhere else, just because the lack of censorship and being able to do or say whatever I want as long as it abided by a few small rules, that's enough to keep me an active member here for a long fuckin time.
No, I do work, just not as much as I used to at the moment because some of the new projects are in development mode, and those aren't my primary areas to deal with. I can assure you, once this new site launches for the beta affiliates, I'll be working along side them nonstop, because marketing, advertising, and revenue is my area.

But no.. my point is that looking at it from a webmaster standpoint where people share ideas all the time with friends yes, you should tell a person not to use something you are sharing with them even if it's your friend. Even if it's just a joking "oh yeah and if you steal my idea I'm gonna kick your ass and rape your grandma".

George, if there were no honor among theves there would only steal from each other and not get the good stuff. Well Lee has no honor. If he is stealing from someone he at one point was going to go into business with and they bounced ideas off each other witch happens all the time in business it is implied that you are not to be a snake. He did not get it and got burned!
businessmen are all snakes to some degree. I'm not condoning Lee's actions but they don't surprise me.

Almost every conversation I start off saying or even they start off saying "this is between you and me" -- which is universally understood that THIS IS BETWEEN YOU AND ME AND YOU SHOULD NOT TAKE THIS IDEA AND RUN WITH IT ON YOUR OWN! After a while, we don't even need to say it anymore, but still do, because it's understood.

Because truth be told, Lee used his idea without permission from what I can see here in this thread. But then since Lee isn't here defending himself I'm only getting one side of the story so I'd be a fool to try and defend either side. I only spoke to the type of person he is because I thought perhaps that might shed some light on why he did it.
Had it occured to you that maybe Lee really didn't know Jon would get pissed if he used the cool tip he shared with him as a friend? Might not be the case but it's a thought.

Your Million sites idea is nothing new. Lee and I developed a network of small niche sites over a year ago about 7-10 of them to test the waters about doing a much larger network of sites, maybe not a million but a bunch.

He said Lee was going around trying to figure out HOW Jon was doing it. Lots of people have a bunch of niche sites...the way I took it is that Lee was trying to figure out Jon's exact methods.
Jon made me want to check out what was going on over here after he posted in a similar thread to this over at Talkfreelance. As I said over there, I have nothing against Lee personally. I just wanted to comment on his decision to make his podcast subscription: read.

Anway Jon if Lee was such a good friend that you could trust to share your ideas then why not just say to him on IM "Dude wtf you stole my idea" rather then expect him to publicly apolosgise to you on your own forum, your ego is off the chart.
