I wanna see Kimbo vs The Russian Guy Who Always Knock People Out With A Kick To The Head.

Cro Cop is Croatian. Just noting.
Kimbo is not really a complete fighter, he might be good on his feet. But not for long periods of time. His like a freak show, interesting to see a huge beast going at it.

I agree Kimbo is very over rated but he'll win this match easy. Kenny boy is just to old. Who cares about them anyways the best fight of the night will be Gina Carano's. The girl is just bad ass! I'd do her again lol.
 
Guys stop talking about Kimbo vs Brock, Kimbo = EliteXC and Brock is UFC, so that ain't gonna happen.

Who i'd like to see is Kimbo vs one of the Emelianenko brothers (maybe the young one) or Cro Cop although Cro Cop has a testicle injury from his last Dream match.

And for this fight i'd put my money on Kimbo, I'm sure they are picking his opponents wisely so he can get experienced and still have an undefeated record (to attract more viewers and to hype him up, which is good for EliteXC).
 
"Kimbo is overrated" .... that's really not the point. The guy is in his mid 30's and just getting going good in MMA. It's about making money at this point. Kimbo even said he has a long way to go. His persona is so big he could avoid fighting a legit heavyweight & still get big paydays.

I think he'll beat Shamrock, especially if Ken attempts to trade with him.
 
whatever happened to Bob Sapp? he was another large black guy who just liked to throw haymakers.
 
Bob Sapp is a good example of a fighter who wasn't the best but was the biggest/most popular. The guy was on the cover of Time magazine overseas, had big endorsements, etc.,. Sapp got his butt kicked by top fighters, but he made a fortune & that's the path Kimbo seems to be on. I srlsy doubt it's about proving he's the best HW in MMA.

Prince Naseem in boxing and Anna Kornakova in tennis....they weren't great at all, but they were most popular and milked it.

point proven right there, all Sapp did was try a few of his grizzly bear paw swipes and missed terribly. and that was all he had in his arsenal.

anyways, I am trying to figure out what happened in that video. did cro cop's kick break a rib or an arm? yeah, he hit him in the face with a punch, but it was the kick that made him squirm. wonder what he broke.
 
Sapp was knocked out by Croatian Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic' in 86 seconds at the March 30, 2003, Saitama event. After Filipovic' landed several solid kicks to his sides and legs, an overhand left broke Sapp's orbital bone.

yeah, I'm an idiot. I just rewatched the vid and I don't know what I was seeing earlier. yeah, it was the punch. for some reason I thought he was already going down from the kick, but after seeing it again I was way off.
 
I can't believe people who think Kimbo would last 10 seconds against the top UFC/Pride/K1 fighters. He doesn't deserve to kiss cropcop's left nut better, let alone get in a cage with him.

Hell, he won by a bullshit stopage against James Tomson who clearly deomstrated that Kimbo has zero ground game. And James Tomson is a journeyman at best (and tried to stand with Kimbo for some weird reason).

Kimbo is toast when he goes up against a BJJ practitioner this side of 40 years old.
 
Shamrock is gonna get a little "danga-da-danga-da-dang" to his head.

It will be hilarious.
 
So Shamrock is now out of the fight due to the small stitched up cut on his eyebrow. Kimbo is still fighting apparently, who knows who. Probably some random bum off the streets. I choose Wing from South Park
