For someone with a (sic) "nutrional background", how could you possibly lump sugar with taurine (an amino sulfonic acid with few studies that even suggest it provides energy although it has many other health benefits) and caffeine (a xanthoid psychoactive, central nervous stimulant)?
Their long-term effects on the body are VASTLY different, and they are not the foundation for chronic fatigue syndrome developments, "chronic fatigue syndrome" being a HUGE blanket term that is the diagnosis of MANY conditions with uncertain causation.
This said, the high and persistent consumption of Taurine has zero known DETRIMENTAL long-term effects. It's an amino acid formed in bile, but with no carboxyl group so it can't even modify local RNA. Like the over-consumption of any amino acid (or similar acid), it will simply get treated as waste.
The high and persistent consumption of Caffeine (under 650mg a day) is only consistently related to a dependency on it where the user merely suffers withdrawal, which is a short-term inhibition that is quickly compensated (unlike, say, heroin withdrawal). Addiction level brain dendrites associated with the persistent use of caffeine recede very quickly so the addiction passes quickly after a short duration of caffeine abstinence. Of course, the withdrawal is associate with fatigue, but it's not chronic.
The high and persistent consumption of Sugar, however, is complete shit. Sugar is your culprit in energy drinks and the reason why almost all energy drinks on the market suck a dick. Energy drinks are literally soda drinks marketed with trace amounts of "herbal energy" and small amount of Taurine... but with the sugar consumption you get with a fucking tall boy of Grape soda. Avoid sugar.
If you drink a Coca Cola to stay awake, why don't you just cut the bullshit and stick a horse tranquilizer in your leg? It will have the same effect except that at least a horse tranquilizer doesn't make you feel like you just squeezed the energy out of your brain with a vice grip.
If you want energy, you're better off drinking a bold, dark cup of coffee or some concentrated cups of tea, neither of which you will add sugar to. If you are 12 years old and need sugar, add a less refined sugar to it like brown sugar or a natural honey -- anything without high fructose corn syrup.
Or you can just drop sugar all together, which is probably the reason you're waging never-ending war with the last inch of your braided belt, you* fat fuck.
*I felt like throwing this in there. This doesn't go out to anybody in particular, although it may be an allusion to Jon's current mistress. I hear she wears braided belts.
Caffiene = borrowed energy
Taurine = borrowed energy
Sugar = borrowed energy
Borrowed energy = adrenaline produced in excess by the adrenal glands do to stimulant use.
Excess adrenal use leads to adrenal fatigue which = chronic fatigue syndrome..
Have fun with those drinks but remember that if you over do it, and you will know you have because they stop working, you could end up tired all the time.
I know cause I am experiencing it.
Just my two cents, its all good at the end of the day just don't rely on them for energy or you will pay for it.
Hit me up if you don't get it, I have a nutrional background - not preachin just makin sure we don't all end up dead at 40 ( no time to enjoy all that money we busted our asses making)
