I'm new and I want to learn more about affiliate marketing. I own a website that I started up a month ago; it has 19 pages and no search engine rankings yet. I am also a member of a few PPC and traffic exchanges.

I have been promoting clickbank products- but have made no sales :( I started up a new affilate program called Hydronetwork and I'm still waiting to be signed up from them.

So I hope you guys can point me into the right direction. I'm ready to make some side income.

Forget clickbank. Go to Copeac. Hydra isn't the best place to start, its a great place to go once you have the money rolling in. Mkrongel is the owner of Copeac and hes a member here, but try some iphone giveaways they seem to convert great. Also, try building backlinks. Easiest way is to make a page on wikipedia and link to it from other wikipedia pages like crazy. For example, make a page on credit repair, link to it on ever wiki page about credit and ccs, post your site as an external link. Will get you listed quick. Then worry about quality and ranking within SEs. Oh, and if you want to make a LOT of money, try CPC advertising, I've heard of lots of success stories with myspace ads, or you could stick to adwords where most people go.

Problem is I have no money to spend right now. The only way I can start spending money is to make money first. I haven't been very successful.

And thanks for the advice. I will give that a try.

well, for starters, most clickbank products are crap! Try a real network like Neverblue™**|**home or AzoogleAds - Home - The leading performance based marketplace both of them approved me within 24 hours. They will call you so be available to answer the phone.

Your gonna realize makin all the monies isn't easy money, you gotta work for it, read everything you possibly can and then read some more. More importantly you need to pick a good offer, ask your AM when you get signed up. Then you will need a good landing page which you will have to split test, testing is huge. Also your landing page will have to comply with the big G's quality score.

If you don't have money to spend, you are kinda shit out of luck, takes money to make money. You could setup a ton of phpBay Pro - Ebay Affiliate Script sites and wait for them to rank. While you don't have the monies to spend, learn everything you can. Check out The Black Ink Project - Presented by Jeremy Palmer of Quit Your Day Job its a totally free affiliate training program. Good stuff there. Good Luck homie...

Thanks Alot. I did have money- spent it on the website hosting which has been somewhat successful- I gain roughly 6000 visitors a month but they don't click my bidvertiser ads and I haven't sold anything.

I have alot to learn so I will be reading up alot. Half the time I'm browsing this forum and have no clue what everyone is talking about lol

You'll get there, just look up the stuff you don't know. I'm still learning and I've been at this for a few months.

If you don't have a lot of cash try this Offline Affiliate Marketing | Affiliate Famous

Not to sure about clickbank. One thing that you can do to increase "click" is to hide the urls in your site. This is done using htaccess. For example for a dating produt the clickbank link would show:
hxxp:www dot thisguyisgonnagetsomemoneyfromyouWatchOut dot com

By using Htaccess you can hide that affiliate link. So the new URL would show
hxxp:www dot (your site name)/dating product.

This will also help to prevent your affiliate links from being stolen.

This is what I use in the htaccess file.
Redirect /yahoopersonals hxxp://(your affiliate link here)

Is it a cure all for all your woes. Prolly not but it is a start. Good luck dude!

Yo! Sorry moderator dudes! Still do not know how to get rid of the hyperlinks. Hope this still helps him though.
