Hmmm, not sure I totally agree that these threads are not for educational purpose. There is a difference between a sheep and someone who has faced the facts and made a decision to still vote for Obama.
I'm sure (well I hope) popeye doesn't have a problem with informed voters selecting someone different than his choice. It's the uninformed fringe voters that, quite possibly, don't know anything about this guy except that he's 1/2 black and not in George Bush's party. It's in the country's best interest to know as much as possible about all candidates (so they can proudly vote 3rd party).
As for the rest of my comment ... this will mostly go away soon. Perhaps when it does we can get more than 1 post a month over
here. Yea, I know, it's whining like this that keeps erect from being a blogger. Believe it or not, I'm still waiting for SEOempire II ... perhaps I should just give up on that one.

You seem like you are working with less intellectual ineptitude than Popeye who's clearly irrational, illogical and a lost cause. It's a proven fact that when the right side of the the brain gets a-working (the emotive part), it over-rides one's ability to think logically via the left/rational brain (thus the foaming-at-the-mouth rants about Liberals. Do you know what the irony is? In many parts of the world the word "Liberal" describes conservatives, lmao).
That said, why don't you engage in reading something other than what you want to hear? Let's talk about socialism for instance + higher taxes and larger government. Have you actually visited a democratic socialist country or are you basing your opinion on something you were TOLD?
Have you ever heard the expression "can't smell your own shit"? Try really, really hard to gather facts and draw conclusions based on facts not your emotions. That means gathering evidence from a variety of sources and managing your emotions so that you can draw a conclusion based on the facts vs. based on what you want to believe....
As an example, I posed a very logical question (
http://www.wickedfire.com/shooting-shit/42626-just-more-proof-obama-has-poor-judgment.html) here to which your foaming-at-the-mouth pal (Popeye) didn't respond with LOGIC but rather with EMOTION - case in point. IRRATIONAL EMOTIONS...not LOGIC.
I'm not mad at the guy just as I am not mad at a kid crying for candy. Also, I heard something about him being a single dad which actually I have a soft spot for.....
What I'm saying all and all is this: try to look beyond the obvious which for most of us is 1)what we want to believe 2)what most of our friends and family members believe 3)what feels "comfortable"
Here's an example: right at this moment are you standing still or moving?
It's not a trick question.
The answer is both. Yep? If I told you you were moving really fast while you sat at your computer chair you would swear I was crazy....
BUT, looking at things the way you probably always have based on a limited, skewed view, your answer would be "standing still".
Of course when you gain more information and come to know that right now at this point the earth is spinning on its' access at over 800 miles/per hour, you can see how something that seems so obvious to you, is in fact alot more complex. Plus, the person who said "moving" would be just as "right" as you who answered standing still.....
All this talk about high taxes vs. low taxes, capitalism vs. socialism it's not as simple as that. John McCain can make stupid statements like "we don't want to become France or Sweden!" because he knows that only 17% of Americans have passports and since they haven't seen anything else (really) he can scare them. Those of us blessed with more exposure know the benefits of unbridled capitalism and small government but also know the advantagesg of more moderate capitalism and bigger government which is now being called "socialism" and "communism" (what a joke) by the uninformed. I can assure you that the average Swede for instance lives ALOT better than the average person in Arkansas. NOTICE I SAID AVERAGE as in statistical mean. That said, it's alot harder for a Swede to become a millionaire or billionaire than it is an American.
So the question is does society measure success by the outliers (those either to the left or the right of the bell curve) or does it look at the average person (statistical mean).
On a different note, Popeye please open up an Amazon.com account and start reading some books writen by people who don't have the first name Rush or Sean.
Thanks.

Let me say something less smart-assed and more productive since the purpose of this forum is ideally to really learn something that can not only put more cash in our pockets but more useful knowledge in our brains.
I'm issuing a formal challenge to you Popeye and you too Erect. Not just a challenge, an invitation to all the "ignorant Liberals" and un-informed masses here. Since everyone who doesn't agree with what you guys consider "obvious", let's make a deal. You send me the name of a book that you think those that don't agree with you need to read in order to "see the light" and I'll send you an Amazon.com gift certificate for a book that I think would do you some good. You don't even need to "waste" your money. I'll send it free. This is not a joke as I have sent friends I met on WF books before...
PM me the name of the book and I'll have it read within 21 days or less. After reading the book I will have absolutely NO PROBLEM starting a thread where I can post for everyone what I learned. As a member of the uneducated masses, I may be indoctrinated and through your help I can see the light. It may lead me to vote for McCain or Ron Paul if the facts are strong enough. If you really want to America like you say you do, please do that. It's a small price to pay since it literally only takes 1 vote to win an election.
