Take a moment and think about the projects you're working on to make you money.
Are they all related to the same niche? Are they all related to the same traffic methods? Are they all related to making money from the same source?
One of the keys that I've learned is to diversify yourself in as many ways possible. Expect things to go tits up, because they will and you won't have any control over it.
* Get into multiple niches.
* Multiple your current niche with sub-niches. For example, if you happened to build a few sites for Halloween last month, you'd have built one for Halloween Costumes, then maybe Adult Halloween Costumes, Children's Halloween Costumes, Dog Halloween Costumes, Porno Star Halloween Costumes, etc.
* Get into multiple networks. Don't work solely with Google Adsense, or solely with Azoogle, or solely with CJ or solely with any number of other players. In time you can protect your income by layering the places where your money is coming from, and when someone doesn't decide to pay you (or goes out of business) you're not down for the count.
* Get into multiple sources of revenue. Don't work solely on blogs with CPC ads. Use and try out everything available. This means CPM ads, CPC ads, product linking, ebooks, shit even sell something unique yourself.
* Get traffic from multiple sources. Don't rely on Google, or Yahoo or MSN, or any *single* source. Use every tactic possible to get as many doorways opened to your pages as possible. This doesn't mean skipping natural search traffic, but not realizing that perhaps it's not the holy grail. Link building, social networks, your personal contacts, offline marketing, cross-linking, co-branding, etc.
Do the above and your monthly income will multiple.
