I'm posting this is the newbie section cos I think it will be most beneficial to people here. I'm writing this post to encourage people that are struggling with internet marketing to get doing something.

I have a plan for the next 30 days, this may inspire you to do something about your own situation, or you may just laugh at me - take your pick.

My greatest strength recently has been reading - WickedFire, blogs, sites etc etc etc. Recently I've picked up so many beautiful nuggets of information that I just can't believe it's all available for free on the internets.

But at the same time it is my biggest weakness. I find the time to read WickedFire (hell I even had time to write this post) but where's the next piece of content for one of my projects? Where's the next PPC campaign? I think I get high off of forums, it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. But that warm fuzzy feeling ain't making me no dough.

So, the plan is simple - get organised. I have the time to work on internet marketing, I just need to get into the right mindset.

And... I'm limiting myself to only checking blogs, feeds, forums (even WickedFire :() to when I'm at work (day job). My job doesn't need my full concentration and it allows me to benefit from all the lovely information without having to sacrifice proper working time.

Any other noobs want to follow me in this then feel free to post your own ideas and aims in this thead if you like.

And for anyone wondering why would I bother to post this. It's simple - accountability. Yes I know, it's very strange trying to be accountable to some random peeps on the internet - but the basic principle is still there. If I commit to do this, and then 30 days later I report back saying that I sat back, ate pizza and hit F5 on my Adsense stats all month I'm gonna feel a little stupid to say the least.

Why do people always make these threads? Get a blog, and write down your progress there!

I just find it lame. Don't get me wrong, I am glad you decided to get down to business.
Anyway, my advice is to get a writepad, and write a to-do list. Write down everything you have to do, be it big or trivial. Every day just try to erase as much as you can from that list. Don't panic when you see it getting bigger and bigger...

Too much talk and not enough action.

Internet Marketing is like fucking a 18 years old. Do you wanna talk to her all day or fuck her in the butt?

More action, less talking.

I know self help gurus like to say "announce your goals publicly so you'll stick to them ..." but guess what? No body gives a fuck. And fuck self help gurus while I'm at it.

Really, if you wanna make some coins just set up an autoresponder series and promote some CPA offers.

HA HA I was going to put that in my sig also. Awesome quote

Anyway dude I'm starting off also. Just get a damn blog it will be more beneficial then tracking your shit on a forum. Thats the route I decided to take. Just need to pick an awesome domain name.

@Glowleaf: I have a blog, and will put most of my homosexual updates on it and leave this thread be until the end of the 30 days for the most part.

Thanks for the advice on writing everything down. At the moment I'm following the Getting Things Done productivity method by David Allen that I've customised to my own liking, but it got a little messed up recently and I do need to review it.

@amanda: Thanks for your kind words of encouragement. I have no anal desire just yet but I'll bear it in mind.

@narsticle: Updates on my blog.

Good. But gather all those self help and efficiency books together and throw them in the trash can.

"Just do it" is all you need.

And what do you mean by:

I have no anal desire just yet but I'll bear it in mind

Are you crazy? Every man has anal desires! WTF??!?!!!1!?

I'm not every man :)

Gone crazy with content generation and have put down for WebWriMo so that should keep me busy for the rest of the month.
