Is it usual to be scrubbed after 1 day and only sending a few leads? I'm talking about Crush/Ringtones and Weight Loss/Bizz Opp. At 1st I didn't think these offers would be scrubbed since the user is submitting their CC or entering a pin but I read on here that if the user cancels right away the Merchants will scrub you. (Even though we have no control if they cancel or not)

I've always assumed it takes some time and a bunch of leads before the merchant starts scrubbing you. Is that true?

Do the different link categories get scrubbed at different rates? Like would the search, banner, or contextual links get scrubbed differently? If not, what is the point of them since most affiliates are cloaking or blanking their referrers.

I'm testing Contexual traffic and its driving me crazy. I get converts the 1st day of my test and then they magically disappear. This is across multiple verticals. I'm assuming I'm getting scrubbed after just 1 day.

If you want to learn more about scrubbing or shaving check out Smaxor's post http://www.wickedfire.com/affiliate...vertiser-network-owner-scrubbing-shaving.html

You haven't tested enough. Drive at least 500 clicks a day to the offer for a week, and then see if you are getting scrubbed.

Does this mean that scrubbing does not happen right away after just one day of sending leads? Since you own or represent a network are you saying that scrubbing takes time to set in (like a week worth of data)?

I've sent 1,500+ a day views (not clicks this is contextual). Every time over multiple verticals I get conversions on the 1st day then nada for a week or more of testing. Which leads me to believe I'm getting scrubbed after the 1st day. Do Networks scrub contextual traffic more than other forms? I'm only using contextual on offers that allow it. Can networks see we are sending contextual traffic even if we are cloaking/blanking referrers? Nothing shady with the cloaking/blanking, I've just read from network owners and others this is smart to do.

No, scrubbing is done as a pre-set and also custom. What you are describing sounds like custom to me.

Also, I would suggest that you cloak your keywords and landing pages if you haven't done so. There have been many situations in which the network or advertiser will steal the affiliates keywords and landing pages and run it themselves; while fully scrubbing you so you drop the campaign.

Don't always be quick to cry scrubbing, sometimes I do it too. Test other networks with the same offer, many times I end up seeing it is just a bad day.

Also, remember that these direct track networks are cookie based, so if your traffic source ends up having a lot of non cookie enabled users, their leads wont be tracked.

Not quite sure when you were testing. BUT this is a holiday week so things are really really screwy. For example the worst day of the year for diet is Thanksgiving ( hmm wonder why ). But the holiday weekends stats are always messed up. I wouldn't ever start a new campaign over a holiday period as your stats are going to no where near reliable.
