Things I've Learned About Twitter

These are some things I've learned about Twitter so far:

1. Reply to people. People get upset if you don't reply to the "tweets" they sent you, cause then they think you're ignoring them. Then they might "unfollow" you.

2. Don't "tweet" a lot unless they're cool "tweets" cause people don't like that. If you want to thank a bunch of people don't "tweet" each of them separately, just "tweet":

@USERNAME1 @USERNAME2 @USERNAME3 Thank you.

3. Don't get very personal with your "tweets" cause then you will lose a lot of people. I lost like 10 people instantly when I "tweeted":

It's easier to sit on the toilet than stand when you go pee cause: 1. Its more comfortable & 2. Dont have to clean top of toilet rim after.

4. Ask a question to everyone on your Twitter, cause when they reply they put your @username in their reply. Then people on their Twitter will see your @username come up and they might check you out and "follow" you.

I just want to point out that before Daniel Kemp looked like Napoleon Dynamite, he looked like my uncle in the 70s.

Now go pull some chicks, Kemp.

If I had a body like that I could probably get some ladies.

You could ask "What's your favourite sandwich?"

i would also create profiles to target diff niches. look up a keyword on twitter search and friend people who have mentioned a certain keyword. send them a few relevant links daily, and you'll build trust.

i usually use the site's brand name not fake being a regular user.

So, so true.

@danielkemp what is this twitter you talk about? is it a new phone?? or just something you use when you pee?
Please reply using @acemenace so people know that you are replying back to me and will follow me on my way to become the most followed gay webmaster

I never really saw the value in Twitter honestly. Maybe I'm too old.

It's good if you got a lot of followers. Like if Oprah got it, then she would probably have 100's of thousands of people following her on it.

Then say someone pays Oprah $100 to "tweet" their web site the next second Oprah can "tweet" that web site and then that web site will get huge traffic faster than digg could do.

Magpie pays you to "tweet" advertisements on your Twitter.

Thanks for that link... I've actually been looking for a good way to advertise on Twitter. I just signed up for Magpie and I'm waiting for my first campaign to start... we'll see if it's worth it or not.
