Wtf do you guys do with them when they only have a couple bucks left on them? Or what about if there is like 80 cents left?

It's not so much that I'm into pinching pennies, I just hate knowing that I'm contributing to what I imagine is probably a fat piece of the issuing company's profit by discarding cards that still have some change on them.

Also, since I haven't started a thread in a while, I suppose this might as well be a boob thread.

Use the leftovers of your prepaid card at the gas station. The card will authorize the pump for only the amount you have on the card and will shut off as soon as that amount is reached.

Really? I thought they try to pre-auth like $50 or something like that. I'll have to try it out.

Or grocery and then just pay the remaining balance with cash or whatever.
 
You can pay yourself via Paypal, just use the credit card payment option and pay your Paypal account with the little that's left. Paypal might take 2% of it but at least you keep most of it.

Not a bad idea. But right now it says they're having problems processing CC transactions. They must be in cahoots with the gift card mafia.
