Yeah as soon as it starts snowing, people get all fucking crazy. Never figured out why.

Lovin living in Atlanta right now. Warm front came through and it is 70 degrees. Moved south after a childhood of shoveling snow on Long Island as a kid. Had to do parents, grandmothers, great aunts, and my dad's office every snow day.

Dumb ass riding around on my bike in the snow with a shovel over my shoulder.

But I learned, moved south, and found the internet... :)

It's 75 here in Florida, my ac is on. Those pictures look like they are from a different planet.

I was just checking the Seattle web-cam traffic reports before I headed out and I see this!

Because of the icy conditions these 2 buses collided and almost ended up going over the guardrail and landing on the cars below on the I-5 freeway.

Yikes, and we're bitching about the "cold" here in the south of Spain. I was walking around in my short sleeves tonight working a Christmas market taking pictures of the kids with Santa.

I was in NY for the first week of Jan 96 for the "blizzard of the century". Walking down broadway and 5th ave with only a lone figure crossing the street a few blocks away and a police cruiser stuck in a snow bank was surreal.

Anyways, mother nature at work. Enjoy it for what it is. Cheers!

Ya, had to pick up a laptop today and it was not cool driving through this shit. I had to pull over to clean the ice off my wipers so I could see where I was going. I go to clean the driver side wiper and the fucking latch breaks leaving the wiper in my hand on the side of the highway.

It's just freezing rain and general weather shittiness here in Philly.

In a "no kidding -there I was moment" when I first moved here a few years ago, I was on my way into Center City the morning after a freak snowstorm and was amazed that Philadelphia didn't even plow Market Street. That's like not plowing Broadway in NY or Market in San Fran. Unbelievable! The worst, yet, was that a guy in a wheelchair was helplessly trying to wheel himself across the street with the light and got stuck, not once, but for three FULL cycles of the light change before someone came out to help him.

Where the city income tax and Philadelphia Business tax goes, I'm not sure <cough, cough> paying off unions <cough, cough>... but obviously it doesn't go into plowing major thoroughfares.

Thank god it is only raining here.

I messed around with it for about 30 minutes on the side of the highway trying to figure it out. After I watched several cars go off the road around me I said screw it and put the wiper back on but obviously didn't latch it. Went a few miles down the road and got off the exit because I couldn't see anything again and the wiper was about to fall off. Secured it again as best I could and made it the rest of the way home as it started to let up.

Were you watching him stuck there for the three full cycles? Why didn't you come out and help him?
