I have a $200,000+ invoice sitting on my desk from Google due Dec 31th. Should I pay it and continue to get raped by Google or should I tell them to suck it kthnxbye.

Because I was running acai from the same account I was running a number of "legitimate" campaigns, they went through and slapped every campaign in my account. I haven't gotten any impressions for any campaign in days now.

No phone calls, no e-mails, no nothing from Google. In no other business would this type of service be acceptable, however because Google is a big fucking monopoly they can do whatever the hell they want.

I want to flip Google the bird for fubaring my account and providing worse customer service than a mentally handicapped Indian customer service rep.

I offer advertising and we werked really hard to make sure that what we offer is what you get ,ie you order 100k german language + keyword targeting + country target,Thats what you get .And I always offer ways to contact myself directly, And I can contact the network admin directly if there are any problems.

I guess what I'm saying is old fashion business values are hard to find in big corprate businesses ,as far as they are conserned you just one in a million chumps.

Another example of bullshit I have dealt with ,My trade of tattooing has been severely hurt by the corprate media, after miami ink every jail house artist thought they should tattoo, every mommas boy graphic artist thought they should tattoo. Now my beloved trade is flooded with shitheads that cant tattoo, cant tune a machine or name its parts, dont understand good pigments or will do shitty work because the client doesnt want to pay enough because joe bloe down the street say's he can do it for less in less time!

But are they going to get work by a caring artist, who will put his heart into the piece and make it beautiful ,even if he knows it will take 3 hrs and only charge for 2?

NO cuz they are cheap bastards and dont even know what a good tattoo is :(

sry ranted

OH crapola discount the one vote for paying them I'm an idiot,I would not pay ,and I would fight tooth and nail to get the amount dropped to the correct amount and not a dime more ,then drop there sorry asses!

No, you got the traffic, now pay for it. Don't be a piece of shit. Suck it up, open a new account and get on with life.

If the $200,000 represents valid clicks then you really don't have a valid reason to not pay them. However, you might be able to withhold the payment for a while to get their attention for hopeful future negotiations. That usually works in most industries and G might be different so nobody knows until you try it.

One thing for sure: That's the kind of money that could warrant attorney action if they have to go after you in court for it so be prepared for a battle (which will cost you more).

Your actions will have consequences, just make sure you analyze the risks involved and act accordingly and not out of emotion.

If I had a bill for $200K+ and I wasn't raking in impressions I'd be wondering what the fuck is up?

Also wouldn't the repercussions of bailing out on a 200K bill hurt more than just paying it (ie: assuming you have the funds to pay it)?

did you do the reasonable thing and...you know...call customer service and ask why you arent getting impressions?

Only if I wanted to hear the "Everything looks fine with your account Mr. Shields. I see your campaigns are still Active. Perhaps you could try adding adding more keywords to your account or <insert canned phrase here>".

I did actually just email my banker to authorize the payment for tomorrow...

It's just really frustrating to spend as much as you do and get such shitty customer service.

I read an interesting interview
a few days ago where search engine land talked to the head adwords quality guy:

...With regard to landing page quality score hits on your keyword quality scores, “it tends not to have a small impact,” Nick Fox, Director of Business Product Management (and a primary architect of the Ads Quality system), told me in an interview last week. When it comes into play, “it usually causes a fairly significant hammer in an account,” he added.
My take away is that if you're doing anything even remotely shady / scammy (acai/grant/bizopp/rebills/etc) do it under a throw-away account so you don't jeopardize your primary account.

well...if that amount is valid (regardless if they slapped you or not)....and the clicks they sent were valid...then by all means you should pay them (trust me i dont like saying that). they haven't really done anything to warrent not paying them on the legit clicks they already sent you. ..plus, don't you think they'll come after you for the 200k? that's not a small amount...even to the big G

Yeah, the best moneymakers and converting campaigns (at least for me)....FUCK!

doing that is the most pointless thing ever. It just brings more attention to campaigns that arent slapped. and they never help anyways.

oh, and i got fucked over with the latest update also.
Even a non affiliate campaign trying to build up a normal whitehat forum got slapped

Pay them if the invoice is valid..

But, call them and them and tell what kind of asses they are for treating a good customer like that.

I would put them through hell before paying it.

You create a campaign and it says its running, but its really not. How about you say you sent payment.. but you really didn't. lol?

No impressions in days? Sounds like your account may have been banned. Did you get any warning emails prior to this happening?

When you get banned you can still login and do stuff, but it's impossible to get impressions. I'm pretty sure they don't even let you know, but when you ask customer service they can tell you.

Also, if you have any account that gets banned, they can find your other accounts and will ban those too even if they don't have similar campaigns.
