Man.. Like kimboslice said, you probably can't avoid paying that bill - but.. make sure to give them in before you do. Not a week goes by anymore where I'm not baffled by the Big Bully attitude of G anymore.

Their "support" has become a joke. Now they no longer even offer chat support on my account (which actually was quick and at least half decent sometimes) and their email responses always begin with a fucking canned, generic message where they write to you as if you're a moron.

Erm - I'm confused. If you're running that sort of volume through G, you should have a named account rep handling your account. What did they say when you asked to speak to them?

I feel like contacting support can cause more problems. I dont want them going through my account and messing with anything, so i wont contact support anymore. They dont try to be helpful anymore.

At yahoo i dont spend that much and i have an acccount rep that is really cool, and fixes any problem i have.

I offer advertising and we werked really hard to make sure that what we offer is what you get ,ie you order 100k german language + keyword targeting + country target,Thats what you get .And I always offer ways to contact myself directly, And I can contact the network admin directly if there are any problems.

I guess what I'm saying is old fashion business values are hard to find in big corprate businesses ,as far as they are conserned you just one in a million chumps.

Another example of bullshit I have dealt with ,My trade of tattooing has been severely hurt by the corprate media, after miami ink every jail house artist thought they should tattoo, every mommas boy graphic artist thought they should tattoo. Now my beloved trade is flooded with shitheads that cant tattoo, cant tune a machine or name its parts, dont understand good pigments or will do shitty work because the client doesnt want to pay enough because joe bloe down the street say's he can do it for less in less time!

But are they going to get work by a caring artist, who will put his heart into the piece and make it beautiful ,even if he knows it will take 3 hrs and only charge for 2?

NO cuz they are cheap bastards and dont even know what a good tattoo is :(

sry ranted

The fact that people will buy tattoos, of all things, based on cheapness, speaks volumes about human shortsightedness and stupidity.

yep yahoo support is always great my rep even calls me back in thailand if there's a problem. yahoo have there problems but there support is always good.

Consider yourself lucky. Apparently(according to the article earlier in this thread) they flat out lied to me. Something I fully plan on taking up with them tomorrow.

That's not true.

Well, it's sort of true. If it was a legit business...the way goog has it set up is that for every client that does more than approx 12K a month on adwords, has an account rep. No one tells you have one, but you do. If you call customer service and ask them who your account rep is, they will tell you.

If you are spending more than 100K a month on adwords, they usually have about 5 people that work with you. Again, you would need to initiate it.

However, having an account rep doesn't mean shit because we run aff camps, and regardless of how much income you spend on adwords, that rep isn't going to do shit for you if it's not a legit business adding "value" to the user experience (whatever the hell that means...can they get any more vague!).

I went to an adwords seminar where goog reps said this. But I'm not going to be the one to call asking for a rep. So you'll have to figure that one out yourself.

This is completely false. Myself and several other people I know spend a lot more than 12K a month and do not have dedicated reps. I've tried to get one on several occasions and even when pointing out my spend history the most i've gotten is "we'll let you know by next quarter". Nothing yet.

Simply put Adwords support is the worst out of any industry around. For something that is their main source of revenue it is just disgusting how they treat advertisers. In their eyes we are expendable and they don't even seem to give a damn no matter how much you spend or are willing to spend. Hell they don't even have weekend or holiday support which in this 24/7 industry is downright awful.

You would think. I've spent 5-6 figures a month with google this entire year and when I requested a personal rep, they said it wasn't available at the time... every time I have asked.

Crazy eh?

That being said, I'd pay the bill as I'm sure Google will come running after you.

Your personal rep is too busy being under the CEO's desk.

I can't think of any other business in the world that feels free to treat million dollar customers as badly as Google does. Even the IRS will treat you better than Google.

It's truly shameful.

Luckily, there's a bad news/good news sort of thing a-brewing. If the economy continues to tank, and Goog's revenues continue to fall, you can bet things will change for the better.

It's easy to diss paying customers when your earnings are skyrocketing. Not so easy when you're heading into the shitter.

Guys, you do realize that not everyone is like us! Not everyone understands QS and landing pages and all that crap.
I know for a fact that a business decided one day to buy some adwords clicks. So they went on to make an Adwords account, put up a sloppy ad, generated a keyword list, and then bidded 12$ per keyword because someone told the tech guy to "bid high to get the 1st place".
And then QS kicked in, and they started to pay 10$ per click. That shifts into rpc, (rape per click). That is Quality Stealing.

Yeah, I know, of course the tech guy should read more, I know the adwords tutorials are there for everyone to study. But its all bullshit, even 2nd tier ad networks have easier interfaces and simpler rules. (you do know that the easiest way to do whatever you want is to make a million complicated rules that no one fully comprehends? Ask any lawyer)

And no, I don't want to waste time and money learning their stupid tricks (I do know them to a good degree now, but i shouldn't). Why are facebook ads so simple and yet so powerful?

And you know what? I now use 4 different ad networks, have stopped using adwords, my conversion rates are hitting 10%, clicks are cheap making profit margins huge, volume is good and stable and I can sleep at night without fearing a sudden google slap. My ROI has gone from 200% to 600%, and I can pretty much leave all else and run this campaign for a living.
So, fuck em.

same here though i've only found one network (so far) but similar increased returns in fact i ran my last ad on google 6 weeks ago now and though i've had to twist my strategy and write some new tools its been far far more profitable and way less stress.

can't wait for the new year to roll in and look for some more traffic sources now i've got this one sewn up.

happy xmas google ,|,, this week you get the finger :)

Im not sure how you got on credit with them but

If Its Corporate Credit - Your corporate credit will be screwed
If Its Personal Credit AKA Your SSN - Your personal credit will be completely fucked up.

If you dont pay them. I know they dont offer invoicing without a credit check and if they credit checked you they have your SSN or EIN.

You got the traffic. Pay for it.

But how the fuck can people be doing five and six figures a month with a company and not even have access to a human being to speak with? Fuck that noise.
