Hello gang,

For the next few days (and for the 1st 5 webmasters) I will design a logo or page header for you at no charge.

After this - I'll design a logo or page header and you pay what you feel it is worth to you.

Anything I make from this will be recycled back into the WF economy, as I will be needing a few services from others in the next week or so.

Any theme is doable. Turn around is within an hour - or same day if many people respond.

I'll give you the graphics in .jpg (and/or .gif), .psd and a couple color variations - or a couple different variations all together, and sizes at no extra charge.

All I will need form you is:

1) Product name or service and/or Website - company name
2) Any color theme you have in mind
3) (only if you feel comfortable) - your website URL - so I can check out the size dimensions and what colors you are using right now - as to make your logo fit in well with what you have.

** All info is confidential **

Just PM me, and if you'd like to see samples, just let me know - or dive right in, you have nothing to lose.

PS: Something you might want is a "New Years Special" logo to run January 1st. I can make your logo with this variation, and other holiday variations - so in the future all you have to do is upload and your good to go.

If you are happy with the logo work and if you are interested in a full blown website makeover -- we can discuss - rates are affordable.

Thanks for your time! and HAPPY WICKED HOLIDAYS :xmas-smiley-016:

I'll take one. I will probably need to buy a new banner to match the logo, and will get it from you if I like the first job. The people doing work for me are impossible about getting a decent logo and banner out (I can only hope the code is ok). A full blown makeover won't be necessary, though. I will follow this up with a p.m. soon as I'm kind of busy.

Thanks for the nice offer, and happy new year. :)

No problem -- let me know when ready..... ;)

I'd like to take one as well. :)

I'll take one.

Ok - send along a PM with some details - will get it done tonight, if you're ready....

Cheers!

the good: received logo crazy fast - included psd, optimized jpgs, fonts, the works. certainly has great customer focus and attention to service. the price couldn't be beat.

the not as good: the logo wasn't a vector logo - so heads up on that (don't know if that's an option or not), it amounted to nominally stylized text w/ some cut and paste graphic elements. Not very brandable.

bottom line: i think that allco might end up doing a lot of running around w/out much to show for it with his pricing model the way it is being presented (pay what you think it's worth). people around here critique to a fault professionally designed logos and I can say that the linked logo is a higher level than what allco is providing (and it's a $100 more).

allco - feel free to post my logos as samples, you worked on them and i appreciate the effort. my site was a bit tricky to brand as well. unsolicited piece of advice, set a price for your work - manage expectations.

Fair enough

Need to clarify - this offer is to spice up your website in a very cost efficient way. "pay what you feel it's worth to you" - means "what you can afford", as I have no track record here on this forum - and I can imagine most webmasters have oodles of sites which aren't turning enough profits to warrant spending a lot of dough on designing - in this case - I think it's a fair shake.

As for completely unique brands, with sales slogans, or a full on website overhaul -- something like this can be quick or take time -- it takes good communication between parties to come to a happy final result which would determine the cost.

So if any non graphic designers are interested, let me know.

Happy Holidays!

Just have to add -- if any pictures are used in the graphics - they are royalty free, so no worries.

If you want custom pictures - models - animals - city scenery and so on. Could be done - but would obviously have an extra cost.

If you have your own pictures - that's fine as well.

Cheers

Examples only

A short word on typography.

"nominally stylized text" -- A critical element to branding is having a straight forward "text" -- as to be uncluttered, clearly readable and memorable.

Here, for example only, is just a small handful of examples from major corporations (who had a pro designer do it for them -- not me):

A lot of the fonts used above are very, very commonly used, and readily available.

One key factor, is using a font which matches your image. Wikipedia used something somewhat sophisticated -- if they had used a font which was used for The Rocky Horror Picture Show --- probably would attract a different crowd and not properly convey their image, I'm guessing.

OK -- You can however do some very interesting and cool things with a font, as part of your overall website design.

Here's another example, from a successful website owner, who is doing just that (which was designed by a pro -- not me):

The website owner used easy to read fonts as well - but jazzed up her page to get a viewer in the mood, with some style.

And also to note -- "some cut and paste graphic elements" were also used in the above website design. The flowers, to take a wild guess, were not pictures taken by the website owner or their website designer. These "cut and paste graphic elements" are widely known as "Stock Photos" --- which is a huge industry on it's own.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

So back to my original offer. I have no plans to "end up doing a lot of running around w/out much to show for it" --- this offer is as simple as I originally wrote it. Only for anyone who happens to be on this particular forum, as I will be rehashing whatever I make, from what you can afford to pay, back into the WF community (by hiring others to create some stuff for which I need)

I do not do full on website design for a living (however I enjoy it and have done somethings for others in the past)-- but in the next week, as I am online mostly in the evenings, I'd be happy to create something for your website -- and yes -- pay whatever you can afford.

If you happen to have a logo you like from another company as an example of what you are looking for, let me know - and we can do something similar or if you have a clear idea on what you want - this would make the process quicker -- if yo have a clear idea of what you want -- that saves tons of time.

I'm willing to help you out - if you need something quick. But again, if you want to go deeper, sure -- just let me know what you're after.

So anyway... Happy Holidays. And no sarcasm meant in the post -- just some info - if anyone found it useful.

Cheers

Got my logo from allco today.

Allco is great at communication, and updated me regularly throughout the design process. The logo is crisp and matches with the theme of my site, and everything I asked for was added in.
