Thanks for the birthday wishes and suggestions. Looks like I have a decent list to go with. Added Red Stripe to it too, Nickycakes' suggestion.

3rd- Does it suck to have your birthday so close to Christmas?

Once I move out I'll find out. Right now my family knows that I'd get pissed if they forgot about me, once I'm out on my own it'll be different.

Sudbury eh? Hmm...Not sure how far some of the smaller breweries reach is but one brand I do like that is from Niagara Falls is called James Ready, it's cheap but tastes like high quality beer.

JR is really popular up here, cheap as hell too. A 2-4 was $21 last time I checked (that's all we drank when my band toured in August, drinking in Walmart parking lots at 2am hah).

Beer of choice:

1- Leffe Blond
2- Hoegaarden
3- Blue Moon

Tap pwns over bottles, but we make do with what we have.

Im kind of surprised by the number of people that dig Blue Moon - Its not a bad beer (Its another Wheat beer like Hefeweizen) but it is a bit fruity...

I like it, not bad with an orange slice instead of lemon. Up here in Maine an excellent alternative is Allagash White. I've seen it in other states, not sure if they cross the border with it.

Blue moon is pretty common on tap at the 'hip' bars here in Philly. The big seller here is $1 out the door PBRs (obvious reasons) or Dogfishhead, which, frankly, was unimpressive.

Give me Boddingtons, Murphys Stout or Beamish any day.

so true...

by now OP should have finished up all his birthday beer. when you return to the beer mart, might i recommend a six pack of stella artois?

if you want to dig a little deeper, i'm also a huge fan of warsteiner and spaten.

Stella is fucking excellent on tap, out of a bottle its liquid ass.

I had Spaten for the first time at an Oktoberfest party and I must say, I really enjoyed it.

Unfortunately, they are local breweries and dont have the reach out East for some of you, but a couple other great beers is Great White from Lost Coast Brewery and damn near anything from Bear Republic Brewery (Most of Bear Republic's beers are very hoppy IPA's)

so true...
