They're going to have to start distributing on blu-ray before long.

Well the distribution for either version (even combined 32/64) still fits on a 4gb DVD, as opposed to OSX Leopard that needs a dual layer DVD to distribute.

It's the final installation that's larger (by comparison to OSX, a min install is around 7gb, but typically 11gb if you install OSX with all the additional fonts and languages).

Not really , considering he made it sound like the OS getting so big they'll eventually have to start putting them on blu-ray due to the 25gb capacity.

But I was making a point that even the latest windows install disk, sill doesn't consume more than the original size of the DVD discs we have.
 
Who knows, a year from now I might triple boot OSX, Ubuntu and Windows 7. (though as long as the latest version of IE can load on XP, I'll probably use XP for my testing purposes).

I'm trying to pull off the triple boot right now, I just installed OSX [I also have Vista and Ubuntu] but I just can't get it to boot all the way.
