I thought that too, but I'm pretty much using Safari most of the time now because FireFox 3 has been getting unbearably slow, even with all the speed hacks.
Yes, the more people that encourage people to get this the times and upgrade their browser (and why not IE7 is free, among other options) is a good thing.
The part that picks my ass is that it should be automatic too. It means a lot of people probably don't have auto updates turned on, which also means that they probably aren't getting security updates and all that other good stuff MS puts out regularly. Either that or they just hit "no" when prompted to upgrade.
