Should take care of some of the issues, while still leaving enough room for the more legitimate uses of different kw/ad urls.

Surprised that Google actually showed some sensitivity in handling this "problem".

From the moment I learned about that 'trick' I knew it was only a matter of time before it was banned.

I do wonder about the 'no longer allowing different domains in the same adgroup' change. I'm not sure how that would have been structured. Anyone know a good use case?

The keyword trick was used a lot by agencies who ran ppc for large scale clients. Imagine them now having to ask these domains to give them FTP access to parts of their site.

This should be viewed as a HUGE opportunity, establish your foothold now. Imagine how many will be hit without warning because of their ignorance and laziness (or both)!
