Someone PM'ed and wanted to know what the stats were off, so here you go (sorry deleted messages)
I am assuming that you are referring to various counters? 3rd party counters are going to likely show discrepancies. How much depends on the counter that is being used. First and foremost, any counter is not going to be able to count if:
- client website is unavailable or experiencing issues
- counter is overwhelmed (database error, etc..)
- visitor is behind an ISP proxy that may have cached the website (AOL, etc)
- other external factors
Secondly, the type of counter used makes a difference. Typically ones that execute through javascript or are remotely hosted are susceptible to the biggest error. We recommend reading directly from the server's access logs. Barring any issues listed above, access logs will typically provide the most accurate count on the client's side.
Lastly, pullings stats reports by referrer will also give false numbers as some browsers will not send referrers. IE is one that selectively sends referrer data.

so it's not real traffic (as your thread title states) if you have an excuse list like this
nachoninja - thank you for your post. I'm just trying to explain why counters will be off. Do some research on google or other people selling traffic, it's a commen problem. Reading the servers access logs is the best route to track the traffic.
Well I got a review copy from this guy, What made me angered the most was the traffic which was coming was not from any particular site. it was from some site like
xxxxxxxxxxxx.com/trafficshare.html . If it was from particularly referred sites I would have been satisfied.

Tried this service out because I thought, hey cheap traffic what the hell. The numbers didn't match up in Google Analytics and I have the sneaking suspicion that it's all bot traffic.
If you're considering this service, you're better off spending your 99 cents on a double cheeseburger from McDonalds.
