XBOX 360 vs PS3??

I have both a PS3 and an X box 360 and my PS3 gets a lot more use then the X box. It looks better, it has great games and I enjoy playing it more.
 
I used my Xbox 360 as a media center by plugging up an external HDD with movies I've downloaded onto it. Also got a few fun games for it and such. But then I got the red ring of death ( guess whenever I pick up some torx screwdrivers I'll reapply the thermal paste), in the mean time I been playing games on my iPod touch and on the Wii I got for my wife. She happens to own just about every past generations console (PS2, PSX, Xbox, Cube, N64, SNES, Genesis, Artari, Neogeo etc etc), so naturally she wants the PS3 next.

I'm content with my Touch and the Wii (... *blink*... I 'Touch' my 'Wii' ?)
 
I don't own either. But my brother brings his 360 over occasionally. I can't get enough of Gears of War. Live only seems to be worthwhile when you're playing with friends, not trying to get pick up games going.
 
If you get a 360, make sure you get a new one that is in the box. That way it will have a 3 year warranty from Microsoft.

I think they may have fixed it with the newer models, but the failure rate of 360s is ridiculous. I have had 4 different 360s and I don't play it too often or too long at one time.
