while he went overboard, that's the position she put herself in. even "if" she didn't steal a random car, she still did something, knowingly stupid. she should have the sense to know that a cop won't give a shit about the circumstances, she should know that the cop isn't going to sweet talk her.

the fact that the cops were "rude" to her is no reason to kick her fucking shoe at them. idiot. perhaps next time she'll learn to be a little bit more respectful.

That guy overreacted. He used the force where the situation could be solved with a sharp look, parental bitch slap, hug and soft voice of explaining her actions.

There are two things that really bother me more than anything.

1- People who abuse animals.
2- Men who beat up on or abuse women and children.

But even with my strong feelings of that, I can tell she wasn't some innocent little girl and I don't doubt for one moment that she was a total cunt to them from the moment they had her in custody. Did she deserve a flat out beatdown? Probably not, but I sure as hell don't disagree with giving her or anyone that starts up with a cop for no good reason a swift kick in the ass. Too bad she didn't learn her lesson, because now, whether he's found guilty or not, she's going to sue the city and get cash for what ultimately started as her mouthing off to them.

And in the future she'll probably just continue to provoke reactions because, its not like a cop gona kill her, and a bitch slap as much as it may hurt would be like a paycheck to her.

Damn he pulled a "CHRIS BROWN". Usually the cops put the hand cuffs on you and put you in the back of there police crusier drive about 30 mph then slam on the breaks so you face slams against the cage. And they say oops almost hit a cat.

It's sorta disturbing, the people thinking the cop wasn't out of line or that it's almost acceptable.

No wonder things are moving closer to a police state in the west, people expect police violence now, it's the rule rather than the exception.

Whether this girl committed a crime or not, he's a peace officer, and he's not her judge or jury. He knows that, because he lied on all of his reports about this. He knew what he did was illegal and unacceptable. It has nothing to do with being a man, or her being a woman.

It would be just as wrong if the sexes of the two individuals were reversed.

Never said it was acceptable.

Course as I mentioned earlier in the thread, the only real reason the media even bothered with this one is because the 'victim' was a minor. Otherwise if it was some crackhead whore... we'd probably never even hear about them being smacked up a bit for spitting on the cop. The media in a way selectively encourages what's acceptable and what's not.

The real way you make something into a police state is legislatively, and having the paranoia (as in how the patriot act was allowed to happen thru paranoia of terrorism) to allow it to happen. Until then the Cops actions could be held accountable.

All that fucker had to do was pick up the shoe and slam the door locked. Let her sit there in a cold jailcell with one shoe and think shit over.

This lousy fascist thug charged an unarmed, non-violent prisoner WHO POSED ZERO PHYSICAL THREAT, slammed her against the wall, slammed her to the ground, cuffed her, beat her with his fists while he was sitting on her back and she was cuffed, dragged her to her feet and out the cell by her hair, because WHAT again? Because she "said something"?

Excuse me? Words deserved a brutal assault? What a total PUSSY! Wahhh! The little girl was mean to me, I was justified in kicking the crap out of her!

Un-FUCKING-believable. This asshole gives REAL police officers a bad name.

Flush him out of the force and charge him with a criminal assault and battery, and open the door for the kid's family to sue for civil damages.

I have police officers in my family, good, honest servants of the law and protectors of the weak, and nazi ratfucking bullies like this, who hide behind the power of the shield, make me PUKE.

With regards to positions of authority and power there can never be too many cameras around.

...and you know every police department in the country HATES youtube.

It's a double edge sword, there's some things they couldn't do without video evidence, but it works just as well against them.

Anyone recall that one guy being detained for recording the cops pulling someone over?

Eh, I understood what you were saying, but isn't that sugar coating the other side quite a bit?

I didn't see that kid do a damned thing except kick a shoe out the door and stand there with her arms crossed. I must have blinked during the part where she shanked him.

You don't need a weapon to be considered violent, nor actually have to succeed in hitting someone. And besides you only see the video from that point on, she could have been putting up a fight down the hall before they managed to get her into the cell and that was her blowing off the final steam before she kicked a shoe at am (which in technical terms can be considered an act of violence).

Does it condone what the officer did? No? But keep it real and not paint her as as daddy's little sweet heart. And even if she was violent and bitchslaped him once, it still wouldn't condone what he did. At most they can restrain her.

The sad thing is this isn't an isolated incident. Happens every day in every city and there is not one single justification for it. Cops should expect compliance with legal requests or commands and nothing else. When the public is their enemy rather than their ward to protect, respect is the last thing they deserve.

Are you guys forgeting this guy is a cop. You gotta fucking check your shit at the door, i dont give a fuck if she was saying i assraped your grama with a bat last night and spit in his face, HE IS A COP AND CLEARLY ASSULTED HER OUT OF ANGER. He should be fired and charged, she should get a ton of money, end of story.

Insecure small dicked fucks...

This is so true. I remember a few freaks in school who were too shy to shower up after gym class, although one of them did once - in his underwear! These guys were picked on all through school. Guess what? They eventually became local law enforcement.

A little too severe I think for a shoe flick. I would have LOL'd had she been wearing hair extensions though.

He should be fired and charged,

Agreed.

She should get a ton of money, end of story.

Eh, this is the one I have mixed feelings on... the ton of money... that's our tax dollars... I would think they should keep his pension in effect, but the pension goes to her perhaps. Otherwise I'm not too fond of tax dollars getting into the hands of a mouthy 15 year old that got herself into jail.

Course on the other hand... the department did train him, employ him, and confide in his ability to carry out his duty, and as such put him in such a position that he was in charge of the "guests" at the jail house.

In the end lawsuit after lawsuit, is what plunders our country into a hole, granting benefit to the plaintiff but hurts the rest of us.

I have heard they are trying to ban filming the police in the UK. Might just be a rumor, but I wouldn't be surprised about that.

Anyone remember that subway cop that shot the guy in the back a few weeks ago? Cops tried to confiscate all the cameras, but missed some.

It was an execution, not an accident.

Yeah you see, that girl HURT HIS FEELINGS. Poor cop. There are two sides to that story. After getting her face smashed in, she should have apologised and asked for more right?
