Technically you're right and in a legal system this should be the case. However you cannot tell me that the fact that the website is called 'The PIRATE Bay' is not suggestive of piracy? If you don't agree with that you must be retarded, then again I think your mildly retarded anyway..
 
I had a feeling this might happen. Sweden is becoming a shithole. First giving in to allow Proxies to give data to USA CIA. Now the Swedish courts go after this type of site and give it more exposure than ever.

This will be on every TV show and newspaper this weekend.
 
Thats pretty fucked up. I was convinced they were untouchable as the software itself was not centered around piracy rather large file sharing. This conviction really does open quite a few doors for numerous lawsuits.

i dident think that torrent sites could get sued because the shit was not on their servers, they just link up the people that want to share files. I think that this is bullshit. and if they start fucking over people on this kind of shit, whats next?

Torrent sites can get done in the USA but they were supposedly pretty safe in Sweden. They should just up and move to the Ukraine like demonoid.
 
This is actually a retarded move on the government's side. Nothing will happen to TPB, so really all this does is give it MORE publicity. I'm shocked at how many people actually pay for music and movies and shit - maybe if they knew about TPB they wouldn't...

The servers are not even located in sweden since the raid in 2006.

as I recall they called it 'piratebay' because it sprang out of the pirateburan movement. But they were smart enough to realize that no one but swedes could spell the scandi word for office.

If your comment had anything approaching logic or reason behind it, they would have called it 'stealmoviesandmusicfree.com'

Now give yourself a couple of twists and insert yourself in scherer's ass.
