Any ideas how to promote supplement store for free/cheap?

I got my bodybuilding/fitness supplement store up and running, now I'm looking for free/cheap ways to get some sales. Spent almost $50 in PPC already and only got 2 sales. I don't have a lot of money to put into this, so I'm going to hold off on the PPC for now.

I got some coupons stuck in my car window the other day, and I was thinking of doing something like that, but I don't know how well it would convert.

I do live like a mile away from San Diego State University, if that would make any difference. So if you have any ideas for online/offline (cheap) marketing, let's hear them!

Seriously though, stick a cheap suit on the tramp,and maybe a bath/shave and give him a few keywords to say, could work out quite profitable.

Bet Google are quaking in there boots...

I could, it's a really easy domain name to remember, but since I've moved here I've only seen 1 homeless person. And would you want to buy supplements if a homeless guy told you to?

Yes of course, put on the sign "Buy these amazing super fuckin dooper supplements for enhancing your brain power so you can make more monies, otherwise you will end up like me"

head on over to El Cajon Blvd, pretty close to you, you'll find plenty there.
probably find a few crack whores too that might tattoo your domain on their ass real cheap

Go to L.A. Rent a car. Spray paint your domain on the top. Find a speed/meth freak with priors and give him the keys to your rented car. Report the car as stolen. If he gets in a high speed chase the news choppers will give you nationwide free advertising.
I'm not sure how you explain the fact that the guy stole your rental and then spray painted your website on top but I'm sure you're creative enough to figure something out.

newbie here, first post.

you could ask the gyms in your area if you could leave a fishbowl with a flyer promoting a "sweepstakes" for a 20% off coupon if they drop their business card in it. you'd get to drive traffic to your site and people are opting their information to you for your monthly newsletter. ;)

Actually, the Free, General, and Services section of Craigslist might be where you should start posting. Plus, the CL audience is very broad, so you'll always have somebody looking for whatever you're offering as long as it's on topic and presented well.

Is there any way to get around the phone verification for the "services" section? I don't want to get my cell # blacklisted in case I ever need to make a non-spammy post.
