I see every network now having some themed contest to take you on a trip if you are one of their top 20. Does anyone here actually focus on trying to win?

I am not bashing the networks - just want to know if it actually generates any increase in revenue for them.

I don't think any network would run a contest if it didn't increase revenues or at least increase the number of affiliates.

I'm sure Azoogle's PBM contest brought in some good numbers, as they wouldn't pay for a spot there for just nothin. I personally don't use Azoogle but a good incentive none the less.

I'm sure contests generate more revenue. For me, it's just a fun bonus of affiliate marketing. Even if it's just some type of reward for generating a certain amount of commissions for the month.

If you're running an offer that another network with a contest has, you'd have an incentive to switch over.

While they're all nice and dandy I still wouldn't switch over unless their offers were making me more money than what I'm running with a different network.
Because really with that difference in profit you could go on these trips on your own dime and have some leftover cash in the bank.
