Any tips on getting accepted by EPN? I was caught up in some other ventures and fucked it off and didn't move my account over from CJ when the system changed.

Now I want to get back into EPN but they have turned my application down, twice! . Any tips on getting accepted? Any alternative besides pepperjam?

Thanks

Shame you didn't migrate to ePN when you had the chance. They are pretty much rejecting applications automatically these days. Seems they're still trying to purge the low-quality partners before they open things up again, if they ever really do.

I have heard about a few people managing to get accepted. Tips:

1. Submit a high content Website in a niche that isn't oversaturated in ePN - forget iPhone, Wii, Coach handbags, the usual eBay crap sites.
2. Choose the content business model - they ain't real keen on PPC and the other models.
3. Be persistent - it may take several tries before they accept you, if they do.

Good luck

If someone cracks the code on this... do share. I feel at a serious disadvantage hawking my wares when ePN is being difficult when it comes to accepting new affiliates.

good tips rcubed... could be a market in creating content sites with the sole purpose of being good candidates for ePN approval. lol.

I have to second the above advice. I was accepted immediately when I applied with my three year old content site. It's in an 'arts and society' type niche.

Consider buying some old content site about some boring niche topic and using that to apply with.

I agree with above as well.
My friend just got in first try with a 1.5 yr old content site.
Don't mention incentives or PPC.

CHECKLIST FOR EPN ACCEPTANCE.

  • Applying from US/Canada/Western Europe/OZ/NZ - If you are outside these countries, I recommend you apply with a friend within one of these countries. And don't bother with free proxies. Ebay knows them all
  • Your IP address matches your Stated Address. (you can't give a US Address, but apply with a Brazilian IP)
  • Domain has Quality Content that would be relevant to products that eBay sells
  • Domain, Site and Content are at least 1 year old - preferably more.
  • Domain is NOT a Review type site or stinks of affiliates.
  • NO EBAY Ads or other Ads on the Site
  • Site is registered with PUBLIC Registration for at least 2 years forward
  • Public Registration Information matches your eBay application information.

Thought Id cross check my site against this list. As mentioned above, I was recently approved on my first attempt. As you can see my site pretty closely matches. I figure it pretty solid advice.

I know, it's a shame because you have a nice product.

My EPN account is live, but I have concerns about the tracking while using the php-bay plugin for Wordpress (the "lite" version). I have a very low impression number, when it should be in the thousands, and extremely low conversions.

I don't know what to think, and would rather not pay for the traffic I send them.

When I was a crazy newbie I got accepted to EPN on first try, my account was de-activated 1 month(or so) later for innactivity while I was trying to figure out how to push cell phone offers on affiliate networks. Don't register with them until you're absolutely ready to run shit with EPN.

I think its also worth mentioning you can submit anyone's site during the application process, and never actually run ads on it. I was also approved with a few year old content based site, and have only ran ads on phpbay shit.

^^It's possible I spent to many hours in the sun today but I read that paragraph 3 times and still have no idea what you just said.

I went through this whole ebay mess about six months ago. I got lucky enough to befriend one of the EPN mods in the forum. But before that I was denied several times and was even granted a "manual review". All the info above is good, but you have to keep in mind that most of the people approving the accounts are nto marketers so they look at some of the wrong things like: Page Rank, layout, backlinks, etc.

Just make sure you have a decent site, with at least 10 pages of good content, etc. Oh also, make sure you have a privacy policy. I didn't have this and a couple weeks after I added it I got accepted. Also, be sure and make your presence felt in the EPN forum, those mods can help you out and the do have influence.
