Harry Potter, anyone?

Anyone want to own up to seeing the latest and greatest Harry Potter?

I've read the books multiple times and like to see how closely the movies tie in to the story line - occupational hazard. Can't get to the movies until next Friday, so I was curious if anyone had an opinion on the latest version. Feel free to include spoilers - I've read the damn books.

I saw it and thought it was lackluster (6 on a 10-scale). I've read the books and loved all of them.

Frankly, it's Yates's directing style. The movie *looks* good, just like Order of the Phoenix. But, he's fighting an uphill battle to jam as much as he can into the film. He and Kloves (screenwriter) left a *ton* out, including stuff that I thought was important.

Sadly, he's working on Deathly Hallows, Parts I and II. Because Kloves did a great job on the other Potter films and was absent from the only one I didn't like (Order of the Phoenix), I'm blaming Yates.

I'm not even sure how Yates, with his resume, got the gig to direct the last 4 films in the biggest series in history.

It's entertaining, but it's more of a teenage lovefest than it is loyal to the book. I was disappointed that they left out the 20 minute fight scene on top of the astronomy tower. Instead, they had a quick fight scene where the death eaters lit the burrow on fire...wtf? That never happened in the books.

Other than that it's fun to watch, but don't expect it to be very loyal to the book. I would rank it #2 behind Goblet of Fire.

Oh...and Radcliffe still sucks dick at acting but he is getting better. I want to bang Emma Watson.

Going to watch the movie because my gf wants too.

But I can assure you that's a very gay movie.

Not a chance in hell! No interest in the novels or the film for that matter. I asked this once and I will ask again...

What is all the damn hype about, can someone please tell me???

Read at least one of the books - you might just figure it out. It is probably one of the most creative works of fiction published in the last 20 years .

I will probably see the movie sometime next week. Haven't had the time yet, but will certainly check it out.

I went with my girlfriend and besides the 10 minute nap I took in the middle of it, I was somewhat entertained. I would probably give it a 6/10.

Gay?

this was the worst potter movie of the series. while filler story in this one was probably the best, the action was below even the pussy levels we've become accustomed to with the series.

Every time you think something cool is about to happen, just wait, and then wait some more, and then keep waiting, and then you realize the scene is over - nothing cool ever happens

btw, i dont read the books, and someone told me in the book version there is an awesome hogwarts battle royale, but not so for the movie - booooooorrriiiinnnggggg

I saw it. I didn't like it. I haven't read the books but I have seen all the other movies. There was too much teen age love drama and too little magical good vs bad. 3 out of 6.

I seriously want to get stoned and then see the movie!

It doesn't help. It might make it seem even worse.

I spent most of the movie being amazed at the excessive amount of pedophilia overtones between harry potter and adults in his life.
