I signed it because I like dolphins. But I live in Japan and I can tell you that Japanese people do not give the slightest shit what any of us think about this. They're not even defiant, they just will not even notice or listen to your protest. Social issues mean nothing in Japan. People don't want to care and they don't. They go to work, eat, have sex, sleep, and again. That's it. Even if people were dropping like flies from mercury poisoning there would be no protests, at least not more than a handful of people. No joke.

I don't mean to defame the cause, I'm just saying that trying to convince the Japanese to take action on anything is a much larger task than you can imagine.

There is also a petition for the Japanese to sign, if you go thru the site you will see what's it's all about.
