Shoemoney, Jon, this guru, that guru..
NOBODY but the guru himself knows how much he REALLY makes, and I'm talking REAL INCOME, not gross revenue, not "best case scenario"..
And no one is entitled to the info if the guru decides not to share it..
Screenshots as proof? are you kidding me? that's the most gullible thing I've ver heard.. Certainly, some of the guru screenshots you see are real, but they don't always tell the whole story, there's so much more to making money than getting a big fat "gross" Adsense check.
Why aren't we seeing any W2's? lol..
Anyhow, it DOES make sense for guys like Jon and Shoe, in my opinion, to publicize some of their earnings for publicity, and other obvious self-serving
reasons, but that's their choice..
If I made a million bucks a year, and started relying on income from selling myself as a Guru (whether by running a forum, a consulting business, a blog, or whatever) I'd want others to be CERTAIN of my success level, erasing ALL DOUBT about my Guru status, and income level.
If I made a million bucks a year doing arbitrage, or something NOT involving creating a following of some type, I'd have NO reason to make my income public, except for to brag, to inflate my ego, or create some type of status for myself.
There are more people bragging about all the money they make on the internet, who make practically nothing, than there are braggards with a bank account to back them up.
I think it's most important to focus on your own personal agenda, goals, desires, and income NEEDS, than it is to try to compare yourself to the unverifiable income levels of these gurus.
(ps) I know there are lots of internet millionaires, and many of them may peruse and participate in forums like WF, but I'll bet you most of them keep their secrets, methods and ideas somewhat close to the vest.
