Try living in China for a year or two, or even a few months, your views will surely change. I have traveled and lived all over the world and have never seen such rudeness, violence and extreme disregard for life as I have in China. There really is no comparison.
There are some great people, but they are inevitably affected by the culture in which they live. Business ethics does not exist, and there really is no shame or conscience like we have in the states. There is 'loss of face' but that is definitely not the same as shame.
How about the woman that was beaten to death last month in a Jingdezhen Walmart because she was suspected of stealing?
We don't dehumanize the Chinese, they do it themselves.

I love Chinatown. NY and San Francisco have the greatest Chinatowns.
Crazy but true story. I live in an area that has a pond and a feeder creek. A long time ago, a Chinese takeout place was caught using ducks caught from the creek in the food. This is less than sanitary, because I think the water is polluted. They weren't exactly smart to use locally caught wildlife 1 mile from the NYC border.
