kidney stones ... fuckin kidney stones.

I've been cleaning up my health to dodge shit like this. Just eating right can make an enormous difference. But who is ready to give up junk food and meat?

I'm not, but this post is making my toes curl :(

I think I'm going to get some cranberry juice tonight lol

Everyone talking about cranberry juice makes me think of people who buy Acai to lose weight.

You need more than cranberry juice. You have to decide how much longer you want to burn the candle at both ends and what price you are willing to pay for it.

You need to get rid of processed food as much as possible, and start getting enough sleep for starters.

Yikes. 4 oz. of lemon juice solution every half hour

Well, I know a guy who passed stones 2 times and after he started drinking cranberry juice daily he never had them again. It needs to be daily, and needs to be a lot. I don't know where 100% bs acai fits in that picture. If you're health sucks or you have bad habits overall you got a lot more to worry about than kidney stones.

I had a kidney stone when I was 21.. I woke up in the morning and it felt like someone hit me in the side with a baseball bat. Couldn't stand up or lay down it was pure agony.

Passed one three years ago. I don't even take aspirin for headaches but morphine was the best thing ever that day since I was in so much pain that I was puking all over the place.

According to my wife, passing a kidney stone is the closest a guy can ever get to understanding birth.

A girl I know pretty well who has both given birth and passed kidney stones said the stones hurt more. The cooch is designed to stretch that much - not true for the urethra.

My point is that cranberry juice is like aspirin for a headache. It deals with the symptoms, not the problem.

There is a reason why ones body is producing stones. That imbalance has to be addressed.

i get the fucking things like once a year. horrible. the best shit to do is drink 6 cans of coke (yes, coke) in 2 hours. (or a 2 liter bottle). then follow it up with 8 ounces of purree'd asparagus. then drink distilled water throughout the day to rehydrate. the shit will break up and be passable/pass as sand. i do this everytime i get a stone and it passes within 24 hours. 11mm is fucking huge though. can that even come out?

Coke causes kidney stones.

If you cut out coke, you reduce the chance of growing them.

Kidney stones are almost always caused by diet. Change your diet, and you won't have stones that are painful to pass.

There is no reason why it has to be a recurring condition.

I'm not saying coke doesn't cause them. I'm saying in a mass amount, it will dissolve them.

Cranberry juice also causes them.

i've had over 15 stones in my life, and i'm only 22. i started having them when i was 13. when i was in the hospital for a week, the only advice the doctors gave me were to cut back on red meat and soda, both of which i haven't had since i was about 10.

the last time i went to the doctor, i had 3 stones under 4mm in my left kidney, and 4 in my right - 3 under 4mm and the 11mm stone that was the closest to passing. i just got the CT scan back and the 11mm stone seems to be dissolving and is now 8mm, so the doctor doesn't think i'll need to get them pulvarized. i had to get blood work done to see if i have a thyroid disorder that could be the reason i'm producing calcium stones.

got this a few years back after my week long hospital stay for stones. got to have a sense of humor over a shitty situation.

My buddy just called me a few days ago saying he's on the way to the hospital cause he was in some crazy pain. Turns out it was kidney stones.

Never had one and hope I never get one. Just the thought of it makes me cringe. Now where's mah cranberry joose.

Kidney stones are typically calcium or mineral deposits. Lemon Juice is high in acidic concentrate which can break down current deposits built up in your system. Another good way to keep your kidneys clean is just drinking one glass of cranberry juice daily as well.

That's shit I didnt pay attention too until I felt the wrath of what these things can do to you.

The last one i had i went to eurologist and they asked me what I was drinking, I told them I had been drinking a lot of gatorade and powerade. She told me to drink Mountain Dew or Pink Lemonade.

So far so good.

When I had my first kidney stone I was sitting on the couch watching sports center eating a bowl of fruity pebbles, my wife woke up came into the living room. I stood up drank the milk out the bowl, walked into the kitchen came back into the doorway of the Living room. I doubled over, wife was like whats wrong, I said i didnt know. Straightened back up 15 seconds later I hit a knee. Wife was like are you ok I was like " I dont know what the hell is wrong. few seconds later hit both knees, looked at my wife and Said " I am fukn Dieing" ,, drove to the hospital doubled over in the front seat feeling every bump in the smooth road.

Have had it once since then, but DAMN they hurt. I agree with the doctors who say it is worse than child birth for a man.

My sides hurt just thinking about it.

And is it just me or You guys who have had them in the past, when you feel a sharp pain in your back does Kidney Stones pop into your head first?

HAHAHA I mean I could have bullets flying over my head and get shot in the back and the first thing I probably would think of is " Shit, Augh, Not another Kidney Stone,, Damnit"

A Panic Disorder for Kidney Stone Survivors..
