I like the way facebook is ripping me off.
I run 2 campaigns - same ads, same targeting - one is CPC and one is CPM. Both gain the equal amount of impressions, but the CTR in the CPC campaign (where I don't give a shit about CTR) is 0.12% while in the CPM campaign the ctr is 0.03%.
The test is pretty accurate, ran for 2 days with 1 million impressions each....bastards.

CPC ads get impressions when and where the ads get highest CTR, and the opposite for CPM ads.
For example, if facebook knows that for a given demo, mornings have best CTR, then CPC ads would run then, and vice versa...
They are having problems with the suggested bid, its just a bitch cuz you have to guess what will get traffic, you bid at the top and you'll prob get nothing. It's just all fucked right now.

If it was any other traffic source I wouldn't say anything. But once you out an Ad on Facebook the campaign is pretty much dead. The person who originally made this Ad is probably paying 5x what they used to pay per click because their CTR has went to crap because 100 extra guys decided to copy his Ad word by word.
For all you know this guy was killing it making 4 figures a day (which isn't hard on Facebook if you can target demos and get a profitable campaign). Seriously, I will call out anyone who outs Facebook Ads for this reason. It has nothing to do with being a pussy about "outing" ads, it has everything to do with killing someones hard work for no apparent reason.
Well now we know what ads are displayed to people who have "scam network" as one of their interests.
pretty gay move, it's bad enough people are scraping facebook and jacking ads. All I know is if that was my campaign I'd be pissed.. Whoever put that up spent a lot of time testing the offer, testing the ads, etc. Plus the ads aren't even funny, why the fuck would you post them?
The problem isn't with this specific ad that was outed. It's that allowing people to out ads sometimes crosses the line and causes harm.

does anyone experience how off base their geographic targeting is? I have a live chat option on my site that shows me when someone hits the page and their location.. I would say a 1/3 of the time they are in a different state and I have it set up as a 25 miles radius around Cleveland.
