Does anyone else experience off-the-wall location mistakes by Facebook? I am targeting a 10 mile radius around a major city and a lady just called me from across the country.
Said she saw the ad on Facebook? Does anyone else every experience this?

What Conv3rsion said + Specify your city in the ad copy to avoid these types of leads.

Yeah, i'm not sure that's 100% true. If I log in from the US with a UK proxy, i'll get both US/UK ads displayed. Even though my profile is set at a US city.

It's been a few months since I've done this, so maybe that's no longer the case.

its based on user specified location, not IP geo lookups (like google)

I'm not sure this is correct. I'm on an account that specifies my town as being 1500 miles from where I'm sitting but I'm being served ads with the local city I'm in right now in the headline. Zero references in the account to the local city.

it's geo IP, but if you login from an US IP and immediately after you'll switch to another region (UK for example) you will still get ads based on the first IP.
