NeverBlue Changing Referral Program from Life to 6 Months

no dumbnut, it comes completely out of the networks pocket.

This question is idiotic for 2 reasons:

1. People know the exact pay per lead, and if they multiple it by the number of leads they can figure out exactly how much they should be paid. If you scrape 2% off that, the person would notice...

2. People would specifically make sure that they weren't referred (if it were to come out of their pocket), and it would kill the methodology of referrals in the first place.

Hate to break it to you but that's how the majority of affiliate referral programs operate. I can't speak to Neverblue's program specifically but I would guess they aren't any different.

My comment actually wasn't meant to be rude btw, but I can see how it came off that way.

Are you saying that mainstream affiliate networks do this (Copeac, Maxbounty, etc...)? If so, how do they avoid my above points...

Yes, networks margins are only 10%-20% to begin with and they sure as hell aren't going to take another 5% off that paying out referrals.

They get away with it because the only people that sign up under referrals are noobs, who don't know they are getting lower payouts because of it. Once the affiliate does any sort of volume they will realize they are getting raped on payouts and just sign up with a fresh account.

If networks didn't do this affiliates would just game the system by signing up under their own referrals for the extra 5% anyway.

Fuck that shit, I was making around $3-5K each month from all my referrals. This sucks big time. There goes my outsourcing project money. FUck fuck fuck.

That's pretty messed up. I'd be pretty pissed if they told me for life and then just switched it.

I like neverblue, always have, and will still promote them even with the changes to their program.

BUT, tightening up your referral program makes you look like you're going out of business and need to cut back spending. Makes it seem much more likely you'll close up shop some day unexpectedly, and makes people much less confident with giving you money.

HA, Nickycakes. Merry Christrmas, bud.

I don't like that they said for life to everyone who recruited people, and then changed that once they got the referrals.

but...

good. maybe the death of referral commissions will lead to the death of lame ass bloggers who make their living off of it :: cough tyler cruz cough ::

yeah its a bitch move but did anyone honestly expect them to honor the lifetime promise? Does anyone expect any network to honor the lifetime promise? Sure it would be great if networks kept their word but whats the point of lifetime referrals when your company goes out of business.

Either way it was a shitty move but its to be expected even by networks that still say they offer lifetime referrals. And anyone right now who has a network who says they will honor that forever is either bullshitting or hasn't felt the pinch yet. We will see how long you keep your word when your profits start getting smaller.

Hmm. They may as well just scrap the referral system but keep paying on current referrals IMO.

These answers are stupid for two reasons.

1. They wouldn't do that, they would just shave leads by 2% so instead of getting 100 leads you would get 98 - and you wouldn't notice.

2. People do that.

neverblue threw an epic party in london, thats it. people are nice but I can't get ahold of my AM there. Thats why my Xmas present for him was a dickroll.

Sucks, if they are going to do this it should be on new referrals, not existing ones. I dont even have a blog or many referrals, but I can imagine how those guys feel.

Opens the door for other networks to promise life time referrals (and mean it) and actually have that matter.

Hello friends,

Neverblue so good even if change referral to just 6 week they still very good.

Good luck bros
