Some of you just aren't cut out for advertising internationally, so please just stop.

Here's an example of some blatently obvious mistakes I've seen in the past few months on landing pages. It didn't use to be this bad, what's with all the retards lately? At least 1/4 of the landing pages I see now have some stupid mistake in them, and in none of these examples were a geo ip script used, I checked. It was actually specifically made for Australia.

Hey, it's [girls name] from Sydney (that's in Australia!!) with my weight loss story
Gee, really? You're targetting Australians, moron. Not only do they know where Sydney is, but a lot of them probably live there, and it's not considered "exotic" here. On a similar note:

Hey, it's [girl's name] from Indooroopilly (yes, that's a real place!!) with my weight loss story
That's a completely normal name to Australians. Just like Miliwaukee is completely normal to you guys.

Hi I'm [name] from Melbourne and this is my story about how I make over 5000 pounds a month online from home.
Just because Australia used to be a British colony (which I'll remind you so were 13 of your states) doesn't mean we use their currency. Seriously, 10 seconds on XE.com will show you we use dollars. Australian dollars, not US dollars either.

Me and a buddy were grabbing a burrito at Taco Bell
A 10 second Google search would have told you that there are no Taco Bells in Australia. Another 10 seconds would have given you some alternatives, like Oporto.

And finally, the moron that had a landing page going: "AUSTRALIANS! GET YOUR TEETH WHITENED NOW!" with a giant picture of the New Zealand flag next to it.

Seriously. I don't always advertise in Australia, and this is research that I, and anyone that calls themselves a marketer SHOULD BE DOING. I hate to think of how much money is being left on the table by you morons that don't check basic shit like that before launching a campaign. Then I realize it's probably not much, if you're that bad a marketer because you won't have the funds to keep the campaigns going for a while.

I was going to post this is the newbie section, but then realized the real morons don't know it exists and thought some of the other people here who do actual research before launching a campaign might get a laugh out of some of these...

why did you out this, now someone is going to change it and be more competition for you
The people doing this generally do it on a subdomain like jennysblog.yzzyyz.info, have a copied flog from a year ago and I've never clicked on the same one twice. These are just the most basic mistakes on their sites. Hell, one of them even had a 404 error when going to the offer. It's pretty obvious from the sites themselves that these are people that will never make money in affiliate marketing, so I don't really care and I thought the Americans in here that don't get to see the brilliance that people looking for cheap traffic can come up with might get a laugh out of it.

Australians aren't people. They're barely literate, yet alone able to comprehend the mistakes you just mentioned.

I think the first mistake you found wasn't really that bad. Yes, Australians know Sydney is in Australia, but stating that Sydney is in Australia probably tells the Australians that this is a legitimate website that gets visitors from all over the world. I doubt it does any real damage to their campaign, it just means that their website has users from all over the world.

On the other hand, I doubt it helps in anyway either...

Haha, you must be fucking kidding. Feelings a little hurt he pointed out your landing page? How long were you deprived of oxygen when you were in the womb?

Did you consider that the person advertising is trying to make it appear the ad is targeted to everyone in the world? Seems like good clickbait, and annoyed you enough to make an entire post about it. It's probably working pretty well ;)

The first one is the only one where that could possibly be taken that way.

Saying that aboriginie town names are funny just makes Australians think it was written by a foreigner, and getting the name of our currency and our flag wrong makes them KNOW it was written by a foreigner. Considering the quality of these flogs, I'm not really going to give these authors the benefit of the doubt on that first one.

oh no it's nicky!

Why do you give a shit what morons are regurgitating on flogs they stole a year ago?

Hmm Picture this.. Germans: get your teeth white now.... next to it... big swastika flag... Nothing against Germans just think THAT would be fucking funny as shit to see the reactions.

Great way to piss off a country.

But it might work on Skin heads....skin heads probably care more than most people about just how white their teeth are.:338:

There were a few Taco Bell restaurants in Australia until a couple of years ago. There was one in the middle of George St in Sydney, across the road from the cinemas, one of the busiest streets in Sydney. They were around in the 80s too - they've gone bankrupt twice. Noone would actually say they went there, because noone ever did.

Apparently Melbourne still has Taco Bill, lol.

A 10 sec google search told me that.

Roflmao so Australians don't like cheap crappy mexican food?

I still don't understand why you feel like helping competitors........beat them at the game, take more failures out of the marketplace. They drive up your bids you know.
