A man frustrated that bad weather at Robin Hood airport might cancel his trip to Ireland was arrested by anti-terrorism police and suspended from his job after he sent a Twitter message joking that he was going to blow up an airport.

The full story here.

Can't say bomb on a plane.

What if it's in reference to jager / irish car?

Sadly, I read someone's twitter account maybe 2-3 weeks ago of a guy who flew from upstate NY to FL and his little kid had stuck firecrackers onto the carry on. No one caught it.

I had all of my lotion, eye cream, etc. stuff in a plastic bag (like you are supposed to) going through security, but I completely forgot to take it out. Again, no one caught it.

Still not as bad as accidentally bringing a ka-bar onto a flight in my carry on like I did from CHS - CLT - EWR back in 2000 though.

Now what would happen if coincidentally you and your friend jack are on the same plane and you say Hi-Jack and you get tackled by us air Marshalls

I have a cork screw that I carry with me when I travel (<---wine snob) and it usually goes in the bag I check. For the last few trips I realized it had been in my laptop backpack - no one caught it.

It has a blade for cutting foil as well as the corkscrew - if a person was determined to hurt someone with that thing you could do it.

They won't catch everything, no matter the security measures. Unless they start making you board the flight naked, a full cavity exam before boarding, and then give you a gown or something to wear for the flight.
