Do you run any websites without the sole reason of making money?

We all obviously are here to make money but do any of you have any websites about something you enjoy without any form of monetizing, but just write to about something you love, run a community etc?

Me personally, I have a website about an anime that I love, been running it for almost 2 years and it's become pretty huge but I really enjoy running it and chatting with my regulars, etc :)

A police officer was patrolling the highway when he sees a guy tied up to a tree, crying. The officer stops and approaches the guy. "What's going on here?", he asks. The guy sobs, "I was driving and picked up a hitchhiker. He pulled a gun on me, robbed me, took all my money, my clothes, my car and then tied me up." The cop studied the guy for a moment, and then pulled down his pants and whipped out his dick. "I guess this isn't your lucky day, pal!"

When is a car not a car?

When it turns into a driveway.

What do you call a boomerang that doesnt work?

A stick.

2 pieces of string walk into a bar, the bartender goes "get out, we dont serve string here" so they leave. One of the strings ties a knot in himself, and messes up the top of his head and pulls some thread out and walks back into the bar, bartender goes "hey! are u a piece of string?"
"nah" says the string "i'm a frayed knot"

Thank You Thank You, I'll be here all day!

I use to but the last few years my only goal is to try and make a profit off them. This is generally done by selling them after a few months and not seeing anything but maybe 10 cents off ads.

Even the websites I open about my general interest... my goal is to make money.

I run a wakesurfing community site, only of its kind that I know of. Its just starting out and still pretty small.

i wrote an inspirational story about my buddy Kevin Hoeffer saving his family by working online and then some asshole stole it

I used to run anime sites when I was younger just for the ego boost. Everyone praised you like a god cause you hooked them up with the latest eps and stuff. It got old after a while. I kind of regret shuttting them down since I learned that the internetz is just not a fad. Too bad affiliate marketing is dead.

i do a print zine with some friends about punk / hardcore music, graffiti, veganism, etc. and we also have a website that i help maintain for it that is more focused on bands and stuff.

Sounds good. By day you promote free thinking, power to the people and libertarian anti-elite ideology... And by night you turn into a shabby internet marketer who shames people into thinking they're fat and that they have small penises.
