Yesterday was the first time I had been to the doctor in a couple years, long story short I found out I have diabetes...... You can read more about it here Wall Of Monitors don't ignore your health like I did.

Sucks man , I feel bad for you, having said that , this business really can take a toll on anyone who's not actively working out / eating healthy ,ect.

I used to work in a warehouse before I got into this , and since then have realized I've gained a ton of weight, and I've been eating/drinking the same stuff as always.

yeah sitting at a desk all day sucks but I have been getting otu more due to investing in an offline business. Genetically I'm fucked due to my mothers side of the family having tons of health problems. The list is long like cancer, glaucoma, diabetes, high blood pressure, cataracts, thyroid problems, Alzheimer, and more.

Love you too bofu

Sorry to hear that man, you some some crazy luck. Crashing a Viper, Diabetes, where will it end?!

As you can see by some of my posts I love to eat and at conventions I try to arrange group meetings of affiliates around food at great places. I've done this 2 times so far. With our society in general and also being half Chinese celebration is centered around food and drink. Kinda hard to get away from.

Yo man don't worry, Oprah did a 1hr special about diabetes couple of days ago with Dr. Oz (Dr. Oz Explains What Diabetes Does to Your Body - Video - Oprah.com) in most cases the shit is reversable, what ISN'T reversable is the damage already caused..so if you say you are feeling fine you CAN remain in that state and lower your blood sugar, first thing you gotta do is move your ass and get rid of your stomach fat..I've seen a lot of Dr. Oz episodes where people were diabetic dependant on medication and then were off meds and regular blood sugar levels after they lost weight and changed their diet...anyhow you should seriously watch that episode it will open your eyes and give hope..

Wait, so type 1 or 2? I'd assume 2, usually type 1 nearly kills you before you discover it.

Going through this shit with my girl as we fucking speak (like, literally, right now, tonight...)

She's had a dozen or so symptoms of neurological damage, and she hasn't really told anyone, and didn't think it was anything major...

Things like "I know the words I want to say, but sometimes they don't come out of my mouth like they are supposed to..."

Oh god.

To all of those out there that do coke and X, cut that shit out... It'll fuck you up years after you quit.

You can do things to get Diabetes more in check. Your name is heavy, maybe start there.

Also doctors are wrong quite a bit. Get a second opinion and maybe look into naturopathic things.

15 years ago some doc said I had hypoglycemia. Would develop into diabetes.... Never happened and I just had a full blood workup and fasted and all that shit.

The idea that the damage we're doing to our bodies is irreversible kind of scares me. Shit man, I am very active but eat like shit. This thread has woken me up. Come on guys, keep posting scary shit.

yeah I need to watch that. I'm looking at getting gastric bypass too. One of the ladies in my mopar car club had it done and she went off of all her medication that she was taking. She said she was taking a fist full of medication a day and now doesn't take any.

Yo Heavy,

Sorry to hear that man, but you should seriously watch the starches and sugars. Your sugar was in the 400's man that's dangerous shit. If you don't lose some weight and take care of yourself you're going to be injecting insulin which really sucks.

you want some scary shit try having graves disease and having your potassium levels drop when you sleep and waking up from a nap or sleeping and not being able to move. Like can't roll over sit up, you can wiggle your toes and shit but you can't get up. Try walking down the stairs in the morning on teh way to high school and falling down and not being able to get up off the floor or even sit on the first steps of your basement steps to get up and laying there while you can't move for 5 hours while your parents are calling the house seeing if you were home cause you didn't show up to school and the phone thats ringing is on the wall 5 feet up the wall right infront of you and you can't answer it and ask for help.

damn if it was some dickhead posting this i'd crack some stupid lifealert joke but Ive enjoyed reading both your blog and some of your posts on here - so shit man i feel bad for you man. Had a few friends recently discover they've got diabetes as well - and its raping their wallets because they arent on insurance. glad we live in an age where this kind of thing can be treated though, good old technology. Just plan on making some substantial changes for the better for the benefit of you and your family - its gonna be tough - nothing like this ever comes easy but Ive seen a lot of people overcome things like this... so seriously from the heart good luck bro.

kind of worries me too because I havent had health insurance since i moved out from the parents house when i was 18 - just been living that young and invincible fantasy..
