The last time I was in Texas I made my brother try the Big Texan 72 oz steak as we were driving across I-40 to CA. He failed. But... as a big sister... it was 100% win.

Nothing but shit in South Dallas so I wouldn't recommend it unless you are heavily armed.

You should probably avoid driving through there also, unless your rental is an armored hummer... even then make sure its during the day.

I recently relocated to Austin so I'm in. The women are gorgeous here. Not sure on the venue you chose but I know some good folk here that could recommend a spot. I went to a place called Chuy's which is mexican and loved it. Great drinking atmosphere and scenery. :338:
