I want to make one of my static pages a blog as well..

ok so i have a wordpress blog, and the front page shows all the posts i make,

i want to make it so that another one of my pages shows posts only made to that page, how can i do this?

ok so for example, say my site is "LOLmonkeys&giraffes.com"

I want my main page to show only LOL monkey pictures, then i want a second page called giraffes, and when clicked it will only show pics of LOL giraffes, but both are in blog format
 
Make three categories.

Welcome.

Monkeys

Giraffes

Make welcome the the static page that when they go to yourdomain.com they just see what you've written there.

Link from there to your monkey and giraffe categories.
 
Using categories is your best bet. If your site will be mainly images then I suggest a good photo/multimedia type theme to start with. Many times theme developers will make some custom page templates for like gallery images. If you want specific categories to show up all you need to do is little code change using the template tags.


Another way is to set up your links to the giraffe page through the archive.php. Not all themes have this php file but most premium themes do. What this php file does is list all post within a specific category in blog format. So all you would need to do is link directly to the giraffe category. This will work with tags was well.
