Good Affiliate Conventions in Asia ?

Hey , I'm from Asia and damn haven't noticed any good affiliate conventions around here . Anyone know of any good ones around here ?

I personally feel it's very important to build connections , so if anyone around here from Asia know of any good conventions do let me us know about it !
 


I went to adtech in Singapore earlier in the month. Pretty much useless... talked to an ad network which dealt primarily with branders and wanted 5k minimum for an IO

Where you in Malaysia?
 
Ah darn too bad. I went to Global Internet Marketing Seminar , literally useless all I could fine was newbies who have never even heard anything about internet marketing and the speakers were all trying to promote their shit as expected.

I'm in Subang Jaya... gym on the 8th floor, Starbucks in the mall. Everything I need at one place :)

dude you spoke to admax or innity lol? I was speaking to the guy from tribal though.
 
I spoke to Admax... the account manager I talked to kinda lost interest when I told her that I wasn't a brander. They've got a huge (SEA) inventory but there's really very limited site targeting capabilities and NO retargeting. Kinda useless to me.

How was Tribal?

Yeah, but that's not a convention in any case..

For me, I am attending Affiliate Summit East 2010 in New York this August. If anyone else is going for that, I'll be glad to meet you a day or two before @ Hilton NY
 
there's an adtech in tokyo as well as beijing although i dont know if those conferences are any better than adtech singapore. i had plans to go to adtech singapore but when i checked the vendor list, i thought it might not be worth the 13 hour flight from hawaii.

thats partially true but people from singapore might come and all around south east asia . Even an IM even with experienced people wont hurt but even that's not aorund

don't bother , if I were you I'd just go for aff con and affiliate summit unless your out to seek asian partners and connections ;)
 
I almost went to SG Adtech but since it looked really boring, I didnt

but if there's any SE Asian aff marketers meet up, I'll come
 
There aren't many full time affiliate marketers from this region, nice to see a few here. :)

Perhaps join some free workshop organized by local ad networks, though not many, but I do notice there is one that seems to be pretty active lately trying to get people to use their self-serve system by organizing free workshops and stuff like that, just might get some good contacts out of it.
 
lol , yeah there arent many aff marketers around but the few around are really good marketers though .

We gotta beg some aff con to come lol than maybe all of us could build connections cause right now there is literally none for intermedeate and advanced marketers
 
I've gotten together with some "IM"ers here (Malaysia) but all they do is pimp PLRs, e-covers, "make money writing articles" - the kind of shit you get at WaFo. It was sure hard to separate the wheat from the chaff, and most of them want "network" only to leech the "latest and greatest" moneymaker idea off you with nothing to bring to the table themselves.

Though I did meet someone in the dating vertical who was ballin' real hard, but he wasn't out there sipping teh tarik in a circle jerk, and there's a god damn good reason for that.
