What kind of idiotic statement is that? By adding what I bolded, he's trying to slip in an "excuse" for his behavior by saying "well these republicans/tea baggers got on my nerves". Democrat Congressman Bob Etheridge, you sir, are a jackass.

On a serious note I would've upper-cut his fat old nose the moment he grabbed me around the neck.

EDIT: The kids probably handled it the right way though in order for it to have maximum impact against him.
