I'm not really a big fan of Alex Jones, but I thought this video was amazingly accurate and prescient.

Oh yea, much as I hate to admit I agree with Jones, this shit is fucking sick. Our country is going down the shitter and this is what the public is obsessed with, where some fucking douche bag decides to play basketball.

Michael Savage says it best when he calls the majority of American Men overgrown babies who wear their baseball hats backwards and all they care about is the latest game or score. It's sad but true, fat and stupid is a very accurate description of the majority of Americans.

Oh well, what can you do? Normal people can't fight the media...there really is nothing anyone can do but buckle up and hang on.

Watched that today myself. It seems the whole god dam world is fascinated with that happens now with Lebron rather then the fact that society as we know it is falling apart.

Sounds like a lot of exaggerations and fear mongering. Ironically he's giving even more importance to the James issue.

Alex Jones said:
Our role models, our icons, the people our children look up to and model themselves after, are not inventors and scientists and trailblazers anymore.

Was there a time when they did?

I don't even know who Lebron James is or what is he did or whats happening to him. I guess thats why im not a poor loser though. I worry about myself winning at life, not others.

I'm proud of you. I seriously couldn't give two dog shits about James yet I haven't been able to escape the media hype. I don't know how the fuck you have been able to escape it but I congratulate you on your great success.

Society is falling apart? Strange, I haven't noticed the gunfights or food shortages yet.

Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison, Lewis and Clark. Can you name any inventor or scientist now? The change in who we idolize is very real.
Bill Gates

Besides a few revolutionary scientists, society has never really turned scientists into celebrities. I don't think we're any different in that regard than we were 50 years ago. But 50 years ago we didn't have to worry about China.

Then you haven't been paying attention to the news.

Haha shit I thought I was alone and didn't wanna say anything. I had no idea who Lebron was either. I quit watching TV and reading mainstream news 5 years ago. Since then it is all happy-happy! :)

Same shit was being said in 1930 during the great depression when everybody was wondering how many home runs Babe Ruth was gonna hit, yet amazingly here America stands 80 years later, the lone superpower (for now). The more things change the more they stay the same. Alex jones is a huckster just like the other media types he rails against, you people are supposed to be marketers, don't you know everybody is selling something.

Props to the people that have totally unplugged from the minutia. I guess the point is that there's a TON of people who truly do care about that utter bullshit and have literally no idea of what bad shape this country is in. This honestly worries and confounds me every day.

We didn't owe 13 trillion dollars in the 1930's or have no industrial base back then. We didn't have a government that's about to go bankrupt. Like I said, I've always thought Alex Jones is a snake oil salesman, but even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Alex Jones is a good marketer.

Way to piggy-back off of popular current events to spread his empire of doom.

Wildly exaggerated, but with sprinkles of truth.

America is neck deep in its own sludge. All I worry about is who to sell to when its all over?

Alex Jones seems to think the problem will be solved by making Youtube videos.

better to get the message out on YouTube, which has the lion's share of search queries next to Google. YouTube, of course, a site where millions upon millions spend their day loafin around - wasting time - watching videos. Why not let as many people know, as possible, what is going on and how people are concerning themselves with the wrong issues. Who gives a flying fuck about Lebron James or what city he is moving to.

It makes perfect sense to put a video there on YT. Cmon man - use your head a little bit before making a statement.

Me too. I use to watch MSNBC all day for market coverage but once Obama got elected I got sick of hearing about all the crap so stopped watching it.
