I'm watching house and they interrupt it for a fox breaking news. A reporter comes on and says:

"President Gerald Ford is dead... [pause]" blah blah blah.

Made me laugh how he worded it. Not passed away or he's no longer with us, but he is dead.

Now the sound is messed up and you can hear someone snapping at someone. Our media blows.

Carry on.

I saw a bit of Fox news recently and feel sorry for you people in the US who have to see "journalism" such as that.

mdm - how much fox news do you watch?
I used to watch it a few times a week for kicks back when I watched TV. Now I only watch it in restaurants and hotels and the like. Watching Bill O'Reilly duke it out with a fat Wiccan kid who got kicked out of his school for having face paint is amusing but hardly newsworthy or intellectually stimulating.

I am in Sydney, Australia right now. The TV viewers here are more critical of what news they watch and we have shows such as Media Watch - Media Watch (ABC TV) who are extremely good at finding out dodgy journalism practices. The ABC and SBS TV stations here also show many news items about worldly events that many would never hear about in the US (perhaps CNN and BBC if you got cable). The mainstream Current Affairs shows are about the only sad point - they have been going the sensationalist type stories more and more (though Media Watch does an excellent job of showing the real story and how they cut and mixed bits to make stories more than they appeared)

That's a bit ironic because Fox News is owned by an Australian.

yep - fox news sucks cause they are not CNN the news outlet for terrorists! or MSNBC the home of that brilliant mind Olberman -
what you don't like about fox is they don't tell you the news you want to hear, that is that you should be allowed to marry your mad african butt pirate boyfriend!
lol

I live in NY but the only news I watch are Euronews, BBC News, and Bloomberg
Euronews is the best in my opinion, there's no bios and they show news from all around the world, not just US.

Bloomberg? Isn't that run by your socialist mayor, or did he put it in trust?
I love guys like Bloomberg, first get rich and then when you have so much money It can't be touched, get elected and force everybody else to fork over their hard -earned cash to fund collectivist schemes.

Actually not sure what is meant by that. I voted Labor not Liberals here in last election :)

The thing is, I was channel surfing on Cable and I thought I had landed on a comedy channel doing a News skit only to realise it was Fox News. The lady presenter was just one step away from doing the march and saluting, while talking giving the news on the troops in Iraq (she did actually salute)
While I understand being patriotic, her perfomance was extremely weired.

claud- all you had to say was you had that mental disease called liberalism!

claud - I have fox news on all day and have never seen something like that.
liberalism is not a political party it is a social disease! it causes people to think and do stupid things!
