How do you regain focus?

Every now and then I just get tired of working, now I love working... I just get tired of the minutiae... Isn't that why we're working here in the first place?

Anywho... What do you do to change things up a bit?

I just decided to work in a Starbucks in Palm Beach and man... I need to do this more often. So many women... Drools...

I was really hoping for some miami hoties in the linked pics.

To answer the topic question: We do alot of wakeboarding/wakesurfing whenever we can skip out to the lake.
 
For me I find that taking a break and just doing something else always works.

For example, I recently relocated across the country. I had been feeling pretty burnt out and bored in the months leading up to the move. When it came time to move we were going to be living out of a few hotel rooms for about 2 weeks during the transition, so I just decided that I would take this time off and do no work. Did lots of fun stuff with the family instead, just chilled, slept a lot, etc. I swear that when the 2 weeks was over I was SOOOO ready to get back in the game and more motivated than I had been in awhile ...

If money still motivates you, just focus on what you want/need it for. On the flipside, maybe go and buy some expensive new toys to "reward" yourself. I love spending money. The hard part is getting and staying focused when money is no longer the huge motivating factor it once was. At that point if you find yourself losing focus, getting "bored" a lot etc. you pretty much NEED to find something to do that you're passionate about or it's gonna be tough.

Actually I'm in Palm Beach, Miami's rich & snobby sister to the north.

It was too cold in the Starbucks and it's too damn hot outside where I am now.

I'm just going to go to the racetrack since it's free on Tuesdays then go home and work.

I get outside, spark a joint, and pace around for a while. 15-20 minutes later I can jump back into my work completely refreshed.
 
good diet + exercise + caffeine are big.. I can't think clearly without those.

weed for when I am trying to plan/think creatively. I always save time to think of 5-10 well-thought out ideas and write them down if I think they are worth the time. Once I have all of these ideas in writing I build on that idea until it's something I have well-planned and well-thought out and actually have the time to make it happen

the only way I am able to easily jump back in to focusing on a project is to be very uptight about organization and being responsible about keeping notes/documents/todo lists constantly updated when I think of anything. I smoke weed and I know that my weakness is short term memory loss so making lists and keeping everything organized eliminates that weakness :P
