Inception - Complete mindfuck of a film

I thought it was good.

However, I was dissapointed the movie did not seem to be the movie advertised in the trailer. I wanted a movie about theft and such. This disparity between expectation and the reality of the movie really bothered me.

I need to see it again without the trailer fucking me up.

Uhhh yeah. Trailers suck. If I'm going to see a movie anyway I HATE watching trailers. They always screw up the movie for me because my mind works out all the possible endings ahead of time which, btw happened in this movie as well. And I blame you and your stupid HONKING trailer.

I think he was dreaming the whole time. The top never dropped at the end and just left it up to the audience to decide if ti was going to drop. His subconscious was trying to tell him that he was dreaming (mol with her leap of faith and such) but he was 6 or 8 or 15 whatever layers deep and never quite came out. So to be clear the whole movie was a dream and the inception was actually this whole idea that took place and played out in a normal man's dream. ( I haven't read anything, i have no idea if this was what was intended, it's just my realist approach to it.)

Oh Turbo who you kidding, you didnt think about the movie at all, you just coo'd and gawked at DiCaprio the whole time... :-)

I've just seen it and thought it was decent but people raving that it was the best movie ever are just stupid. The ending too was just a cheap excuse for a sequel.

I've never been a fan. Infact that movie had no man candy what's so ever. How's a girl supposed to keep proper attention on the screen when there's no man candy?

Since I enjoyed the Dark Knight very much and I also like Di Caprio I gave it a try, despite the fact I don't like science fiction at all. Well, I think it's an intelligent movie, but still boring. Beside suspense I was also missing funny or cool moments. Matrix is definitely better.

Last two really good movies I've seen were No Country For Old Men and Inglorious Basterds. I prefer this kind of movies.

my 2 cents, at the end cobb walks away without watching the totem, he doesnt give a fuck anymore whether its a dream or not, he just wants to see his kids.

oh and we can hear the top wobble, the kids are slightly older and wearing different clothes, odds are he's back in reality.

either way its a top flick

The movie was better than most movies today but left something to be desired. Same thing with the Dark Knight. I was impressed but not blown away.

Best movie in 2010 so far!! Followed by "180 degrees south".

For those who are still confused:

This is my first post btw, not what I had in mind, but Nolan's a genius and deserves my appreciation ;)

^^This. But it leaves out the dream sequence that started the movie, guess we need another poster for that. What I found strange was the limbo level did not show us how Cobb left Mal in the highrise. After he said he was going to stay and find Saito, the next thing we saw was him washing up on shore. Movies like this are the best because it is an intelligent movie that actually appreciates an audience with the capacity to think for themselves. My wife and I decided to see this one because of Nolan.
