I have never mated w u nor do I plan to in the near future.

Someone please tell me why a grown ass man feels the need to call another grown ass man "Mate"?? If I called u "sex" or "bang" would that be cool too?

Mate can also mean a good friend or companion. Its commonly used in Britain, Australia and the likes.

you might have got a couple of those spam pms since your joining here (jun 2008). or else you should have posted some "pm me and learn the techniques i use to make 7k everyday for just 7 bucks" kind of cool guru thread, in which case you deserve it.
 
Mate = teammate

As previously said, it's meant to be slang for friend, buddy, broham, etc. I use to play a lot of FPSs with some Australians when I was younger and it just stuck with me. That's why you hear a lot of people typing it on the Internet.

Urban dictionary some stuff before making posts like these in the future.
