+1 Rusky.

We doing a #3?

Sure, and we can discuss maybe in a different thread how it should be setup based on the experience of the 1st and 2nd competition. The biggest issue is people not following through for whatever reason - though I think that's just a human nature issue. :)

Next time do it for 3 months and just do P90X.

We did do it for 3 months, 90 days..

And honestly most fitness trainers (certified myself) will tell you P90X will work for most people for a specific goal, which is primarily for physical fitness / cutting up. For people who actually want to bulk up / put muscle on, not advisable. As you can see from the entries in the OP, a few want to PUT ON muscle.. P90X isn't ideal for those few.

Edit also.. as another has put it:

Diet+Exercise=results

P90x has a bunch of exercises and comes with a diet plan. If you follow the program, it will work.

If your desired results are weight loss and improved conditioning, this will do it, but so will plenty of free excercise infromtaion and dieting info. you can find online.

They didn't reinvent the wheel; they just packaged it all together and put a bow on it.

The most ideal route is to truly understand the underlying principles of weight loss and building muscle. Knowing what BMR is, the types of exercising/exercises there are and how it relates to your goals, and a few important diet principles will do most a lot further than simply sticking with P90X.

I bulked up pretty good. (my arms and shoulders got bigger I can tell from the way they fit in my shirts)
Now its time to cut. I will be using the treadmill a lot, and going light weight max rep on the weights.

User beware, working out can get addictive and there is a bunch of really hot chicks at the gym. To bad I'm married, kidding

I agree with you there, however, I would not be surprised if 98% of the people that want to 'get fit' who aren't already need P90X.

People who aren't in good shape and want to get in good shape (whether it's add muscle, lose fat, or lose fat then add muscle) don't know what the heck they are doing, and probably don't have the personality to absorb things and stick with them.

People like myself that want to get fit will quit because they get overwhelmed.

I tried losing weight my whole life, I was always the fat kid, and then growing up after highschool I was just the overweight kid who ran funny lol.

I had a subscription to mens health, I had a gym membership, I bought dvds, I went on diets, etc...and nothing helped me like P90X did.

I would compare it to someone stumbling upon WF, coming in asking 'how do I make money'. Most likely, unless they get a step by step guide to follow for 90 days, that person is going to fail.

The point of P90X is to take people who have the desire to get in good shape, but no idea how, and create a new lifestyle for them with new exercise and eating habbits.

It's not just a 90 day thing, but I doubt it would sell as many copies if it were called P360X =P

PS Here's my 2 round P90X results pics. I have a digestion problem so I can't eat enough calories to gain muscle or else I get really sick, but I know if I could, I would be able to bulk up. (I hate that I can't bulk up, but I'm over it now)

Anyway - I know a ton of people who bulk up with P90X, it's just all about the meal plan

p.s. sorry for the thread hijack, I voted for fatkilla, great work everyone though - keep it up fellas!

Props to Godspeed for sticking it out for another round. My vote goes to him to win this time.

I started out on this the same way I did the last one, however I was home all summer, and therefore lacked all motivation for the most part. I did manage, however, to completely change my ideals of eating and working out to the point where when this third round starts, I'm ready to bring it on for a second championship.

I may even find some sponsors over at bodybuilding.com who are willing to chip in some prizes.

Gary, I'll stay posted for when this third round starts, and if you'd like, I can keep tabs on everything for you, since I'm sure you're crazy busy running a company and dealing with a baby. Let me know.

Jay

For the people that are body building, it should be required that they flex for the before and after pictures. Since not flexing for the before pictures, and flexing for the after pictures doesn't really tell us if you put on muscle or not.

When is the third round coming along? Would want to join for sure and show you guys how much muscle can be gained in 2 months.

#1, it's not 2 months.. This contest and the contest prior were both 3 months, not sure where the 2 months is coming from.

#2, it's easy to gain a lot of muscle when you have none to begin with, you look somewhat like a twink in that picture. (I'm jk, but no, it is easy to gain a lot when you're first starting out)

Now, I'm actually going to seriously participate for the 3rd round myself.. Goal will be to cut 30 lbs from 205 - 210 (depending where i'm at when it begins, bulking right now)

Twink? I'll let my before pictures show my built in the 3rd competition.

Looking forward to round 3. Spent the last 6 months cutting and getting ready for bulking over the winter.

hahahaha... someone voted for me... WTF?

My vote actually went to Rusky.

With my wife in hospital and all, I couldn't do shit after the first month and it shows.

^^

I was one of the two - Maybe I was biased coz I looked like you 8 months ago! If you're putting it in and are going into a slow reduction regime then it sticks on! If people go on crash diets or heavy cardio and exercises just to win competitions or to stick to their personal deadlines then they often put on weight once the competition or the deadline passes away!

I lost around 40 pounds over 6 months - have been toning for 2 months now and will shortly start a bulking up regime :)

P.S - I like your pics v/ your name fatkilla!

From the looks of the results: Everyone is voting for the best body (Rusky) instead of the members who made the most profound change.
