Hey guys! I'm shopping for another server because Media Temple is the garbage of all garbage. Their Gs and Dv servers are slow and can't even run wordpress. So, I came across 1&1 Hosting. V7n.com are hosting their forum there.

I wanted to go for a VPS but not sure if it will be a good deal.
Just want to make sure that my Prosper202 and wordpress blogs will run
without any issues and that it will sustain the 2,500+ visitors a day that i'm getting to my web sites.

1and1 hosting absolutely blows, not to mention its near impossible to cancel your subscription. I recently had to switch a client over from them....utter nightmare
 
Don't use 1&1 for anything. You will regret it in the future.

I have been very happy with a Managed VPS at KnownHost after having unscheduled downtime issues at WiredTree.
 
1&1 are a bunch of douchebags they actually succeeded in getting a charge for 28 bucks put on my credit.

I've had it removed of course but cancelling with them is harder than getting a job at Google.
 
+rep guys! I'm happy that I posted in this forum. Two persons that says their garbage is enough for me to stay away from them.

So, What are you guys suggesting? I just looked at KnownHost and they look way better than 1&1Hosting.
 
1&1 does sucks goat balls. Zero support and constant down-time.

Couldn't be happier with Servint.com
 
For the same money you can get better configurations at WiredTree or ServInt...

I havn't used Wiredtree myself and there has been recent complaints about downtime..

But I do love me some ServInt

If you can stomach managing it yourself go with Zensix
 
I just realized you asked about ServInt's customer support.. All tickets I have had with them were replied to and usually solved in about 20 min. YMMV

+rep guys! I joined ServInt yesterday and the customer support was great so far. Just have to wait for my primary domain to be transfered to my other registrar and get things rolling.
