12.000 year old structure unexplained

Researchers are mostly in agreement that the 2.5 ton blocks (over 2 million of them) could have been pulled over lubed logs. They are not sure about heavier ones. The 80 ton ones are up by the top of the king's chamber. So it is not just a question of moving them across ground, but of how they got them up into position.
The stone cutting mysteries have more to do with the tools thought to have been around at the time, and not the time available or skill level of the workers. Modern stone workers say some of the stuff would still be near impossible to do today, even with electric drills and saws that have diamond blades, laser rulers and whatever else they have available.

I can go with you on the weight of the stones and how the aliens (my addition) helped them to cut the stone.....
But the evidence cited in the article that slaves were not used is very limited. Yet a historian that went to the scene at the time wrote that slaves were being used.
It is possible that there were slaves and some professional craftsmen. This would account for the few graves that were shown in the article.
The modern day guy also states that the workers were even fed meat - 23 sheep and 21 cows per day for 10,000 workers. Now I am no farmer but I do not think that is enough food for 10,000 laborers. Maybe the meat was for the few skilled craftsmen that got the good graves?
That would be a more logical conclusion.
I agree about the graves. All they prove really is that a certain amount of people got buried in a particular way. The historian mentioned in the article, Herodotus, was there about 2,000 years after they were built, so he doesn't really know either if slaves were used.
Then check out the whole series Ancient Aliens on History Channel, there is 2 whole seasons of this stuff with each episode being 40 minutes.
It's a good watch but obviously take what crazy hair Tsoukalos says with a grain of salt. Some of the stuff is plausible while some is completely nutty, I mainly watch it for entertainment.
very interesting for sure. i do believe ancient civilizations had more ability to create and move large objects than we give credit for.
There has been quite a bit of information/research done that it was likely that the blocks were manufactured in-place or extremely close to the location instead of moved & cut. Over time the ability to determine whether or not they were manufactured instead of cut has degraded so it appears they were just pieces of large block, when in fact it is more like concrete.
I absolutely love this kind of stuff, along with paranormal. I used to have a website devoted to all sorts of strange subject matter.
